Erling Haaland

Unless anyone has spoken to Haaland or those close to him none of us have the slightest idea what Haaland wants or when. We do know Haaland will decide and might well decide he's better off waiting until next summer, wouldn't surprise me either way if he moves this summer or next summer.

I would guess one of the things that might keep him where he is right now is economic pressures, if there is a perception that waiting another year would mean a better personal deal for him it could be a driver behind the thinking. Which could work both ways for city, we are one of probably two or three clubs that could give him a good deal this summer which cuts the competition, or we could move when the buy out clause means he could be cheaper - I would like to think we stand a good chance of getting him to join IF we want him which is also something only a few have raised on here - does he fit our style of play? I think he is a fantastic potential and a great player already but might just not be the type that fits into the way we play.

I'd argue that Haaland isn't a Pep player either. Not many strikers are. Pep expects advanced players to contribute heavily to the build-up which I haven't seen too much on Haaland. But don't get me wrong, Haaland is quality. I would love it if we got him next summer especially because it means that Pep has signed off on it and he thinks he can play well in his system.
Haaland is 20 and has bags of room for improvement, imagine what he could be after a year or two under Pep.

Same as haaland then , he ain’t a pep player.
The same Pep that signed Lewandowski, Haaland is still a kid, younger than Foden ffs, and you don't think Pep could improve his all round game?

As for the Lukaku bollocks, it's laughable. He's 28 in May, the very idea that City would hand Lukaku a 4 or 5 year contract that takes him to 32 or 33, is absurd.

Didn’t say it wasn’t.
Foden has always been technically gifted.

haaland is a big goal machine. Terrible touch , can’t pass it but puts the ball in the net, don’t think he will be required to improve he’s all round game . He’s job is to score goals and press if he comes which I doubt he will

His touch does seem bad - and he seems to be an ungainly clumsy oath.

But all of that is deceptive - he's past his marker in a blink and has a shot on goal - at least testing the keeper and often in the back of the net.

Too - his one-two passing to create scoring opportunities isn't half bad at all.

Clumsy looking - yes. Terrible touch... maybe-ish. Can't pass - don't agree.

I'll give you this - Haaland is the worst looking, but potential best world footballer of his generation - ever.
