I think we are willing to spend for the right playerWatching Mbappe absolutely kill it tonight just shows how some of the arguments by some people in this thread are ridiculous. We reportedly tried to sign him for 120 million years ago. If we had tried to spend a little more to secure him, people would’ve complained then but look at what you get back. With Haaland, whatever it takes will likely look cheap in the future. And no, it won’t “get to his head” or be an issue for Pep. That nonsense needs to stop
If a player doesn't want to come to Manchester(as Mbappe apparently stated) you can offer as much money as you want and it won't make any difference.Watching Mbappe absolutely kill it tonight just shows how some of the arguments by some people in this thread are ridiculous. Is that true? Who's his agent and what's the deal?not sure if been mention but his agent is same as ibrahimovic and he hates pep cant see it happening tbh
His agent is Mino Raiola. Raiola represents dozens of athletes and isn’t petty, neither are the people at our club. Sam Lee has already made it clear that inside the club they know he won’t be a problem at all. Raiola has had other (bigger) clashes with people other than Pep and then made deals with the clubs anyway. I’ve said this before in this thread, people make Raiola out to be a uniquely nasty agent (there are many others like him or worse) and also overestimate how the feud with Pep affects deals involving his players and City. It’s a non-issueIs that true? Who's his agent and what's the deal?
Mbappe didn`t want to come to City as he had a bigger offer from PSG, going to the biggest club in your country who win easily and have a big chance of the CL is a big draw, but he has done that now and understands the limitations, he now wants to go to Real or even Barca but they can not afford him, so the bait is come on a free next year, it is unlikely Spains economy will recover in time, and PSG might want some money for him. which when you add up the possibilities leaves us.I think we are willing to spend for the right player
The problem is ...does that player want to come to us
Mbappe didn’t want to I’m hoping Haaland will we are set for a decade then but who knows what offers he has
Mbappe was also born in Paris and supported PSG.Mbappe didn`t want to come to City as he had a bigger offer from PSG, going to the biggest club in your country who win easily and have a big chance of the CL is a big draw, but he has done that now and understands the limitations, he now wants to go to Real or even Barca but they can not afford him, so the bait is come on a free next year, it is unlikely Spains economy will recover in time, and PSG might want some money for him. which when you add up the possibilities leaves us.
Could move on a free though. Lots of moving parts but I wouldn't rule it out.Cant see the PSG owners selling him to our owners
maybe but that will cost between £100-£150 million unimportant to them but FFP says otherwiseCant see the PSG owners selling him to our owners
