I think (or hope) you're wrong. Pep wouldn't sign unless he was fully backed for the next few years. Our net spend is around 40mil this year with Jack Harrison still to be sold to Leeds. When we win the league, our new sponsorships will hopefully be higher.

If we spent 62mil on Rodri, and were willing to spend 120mil on Mbappe, I don't think they'd avoid Haaland because he's 100mil. Especially when we can use Sancho's 15% to negotiate.

It might seem like that. But just because we aren't willing to spend 80m on Harry Maguire. Doesn't mean that we wouldn't spend 100m+ on a player of Mbappes/Haalands quality.

I do think we are willing to go to 100m+ to replace Aguero.
