We'll if Pep flops the league too then he has to walk. I don't think there's anyway his position is tenable if that happens. That is the minimum we can go down to after the disappointing FA and CL semi exits and the fact we had a sizeable lead in this competition.
Yes this could happen if we were ran by idiots, luckily for us we aren’t.

At the risk of opening myself up for ridicule, I wonder if his playing style might be somewhat to blame for his injuries so far. I'm aware that Dortmund's medical team look they've been assembled from an abattoir but when you watch his flat footed running style and the way he crashes to the ground when going for aerial challenges, I can't help but think that it looks like an awful lot of pressure to put on your body, especially for someone that size.

For any basketball fans, the story of Derrick Rose should be familiar. You can go back and watch highlights of him when he was younger and, as well as being amazed at his insane athleticism, you can see the way he used to land so heavily after every dunk. Then his knees exploded and he was never the same player.

To bring it a little closer to home, both Vinnie and Micah were similar in terms of how they looked like they'd go all in for the ball with little regard for their landing or how they'd often put their body in similar stressful situations.

If that is true then it's a case of correcting some bad habits through repetition and committing new ones to muscle memory. Sounds complicated but it's similar to how Phil has done loads of work on his running technique with a specialist.

Hopefully, though, it's just a case of Dortmund doing Dortmund things because that would be way more straight forward. Plus, his manic style is part of what makes him so good to watch. His running style makes him look like something that crawled out of a well in an old Japanese horror movie.

Either way, I'm not concerned, just an observation.
Part of it could also be the amount of games he's been playing since such a young age. If you add that up with the things you've mentioned, you can start getting into Jack Wilshere territory.

It may sound like a rambling of a entitled fan, but after last night I need Haaland signing to feel a little better.

wont happen for another one month but a man can hope!

Hopefully Haaland can deal with the pressure when he comes here. He'll be under immense pressure to be the guy to put the ball in the net. There's already incredibly high expectations expected from him.

Managers in the end should be decided by their league results IMO. It's no brainer unless you think Pep is the be it all and the best we could ever get. Pep or not City will still win a lot of PL titles in the foreseeable future. Besides he's been pretty much ineffective in giving the board the long awaited CL.

Such a lazy comparison. What about Rooney territory? Play from 16 until his 30s at a high level.

I wouldn't worry about what the board wants because if they're not getting what they want then he'd be gone already.

We get this every time we crash out of the Champions League and I get the frustration but I think Pep deserves less criticism this time than previously, despite not exactly covering himself in glory either.

Sean Dyche is out of work.
