It's not so much about the number of games but who plays in the big ones. I'm not one to doubt peps man management as it's worked pretty well so far. I just find it hard to believe you'd sign one of the best strikers in Europe and then play him on the wing. The other situations you mention are different in the sense that the other clubs were already stacked at centre forward.
