People talk about us being state-sponsored (wrongly imo) but RM certainly is with the special favors they get from the government and banks.

Those twats always seem to find a way, I think the Spanish Govt probably write off the club’s debts because of the income and prestige that Real generate for the country.

If Real and Barca turn shit that league is about as good as Portugal’s, with all the loss of sponsorship and tv deals that would result from that.

Vicious circle territory, if Madrid and Barca hadn't been so heavily favoured and mollycoddled historically the likes of Sevilla, Bilbao (8 titles and 23 cups but nothing since 84 when the bias became overwhelming) and Valencia might have had more success and the league would be more attractive. The PL isn't the most watched league because of the rags and dippers, its the most watched because its competitive.

I’m sorry but this is not suddenly being said by accident:

Weren't they quotes from Daniel Taylor's article on the Athletic? The angle is that it's 20 years since the derby it happened in

Maybe we can commemorate the anniversary by sticking Keane in a stocks in the Etihad centre circle and letting Alfie take a few shots at his knee with a sledgehammer?
