Erling Haaland

I stumbled across this tweet just now:

This is exactly why a proper (and clinical) striker like Haaland would have made a difference in the game last Sunday, and why there is no such thing as “he’a not a Pep player”; systems are built on solutions mostly.

Sorry, this doesn’t make any sense

you buy players that fit the way you want to play not the other way round

this sort of thinking is what was going on at the rags since Fergie left, which is why they’ve been nowhere near for eight years

anyway its only my opinion , time will tell
Ah right players are stuck in there ways never to change.

Indeed.

Weird how we live in a world where Messi and Haaland aren't good enough for City. I despair sometimes at what constitutes 'opinion' on here!

Personally I think that both Pep and Haaland will be licking their lips at working with each other. I'll be staggered if we don't sign him. I think it's as nailed on as Pep was to come to City post Bayern.

Whoever added the words to that video, can't spell the manager's name correctly.

Someone needs to be sacked for this pure lack of respect shown to Ollie Sockjizzer.

On a sidenote, I've noticed Martin Tyler really struggles to say it and usually pauses or stops before he says the full name.

I hope so
We need a clinical striker

I don't believe Haaland is the finished article yet, he's only 20 so I will not judge his current play, and will have a lot to learn from Pep if he does join us. He is the big fish in Dortmund's pond, so probably is on concentrating on the scoring side of his game, but his priorities will change in a squad like ours.

I would be very surprised if he would consider Bayern, it appears his advisers are planning a path for him, and I believe his next move will be out of Germany. Yes Bayern could speak to him, but I doubt they would be prepared to pay the 75 million, if they ever were able to convince him to stay.

Why would he not consider Bayern out of interest? They will pay him more than Dortmund, he's guaranteed league titles and a good shot at the CL every season. Plus he might like living in Germany.

To be fair I don't think anyone is saying they aren't good. Some people are saying (particularly Messi) they aren't right. Big difference between not being right and not being good enough.
