I would very much like to see Manchester City make an offer to procure the services of this young gentleman.
Post of the thread. Were you once cricket correspondent for the Daily Telegraph?

Are we capable of putting it on a plate for him like his current teammates do?

We seem to bring strikers to the buffet but then they have to put it on their own plate from there.

Yum. Feckin starvin FFS.
We have the best creative midfielder on the planet?

I am a little skeptical whether City can buy him because if he moves there'll be Bayern, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool, Real Madrid, PSG etc all waving chequebooks too and contrary to the opinion in football, City don't tend to win those battles.

Personally, I think there's way too much in our favour for us not to be optimistic that we could entice him to join despite interest from all those clubs. Out of every PL club, we've been the only club that are UCL regulars which would be necessary to sign him, we have the finances, we have a squad that's consistently created the most chances and it's clear he has an affinity to the club regardless.

Up until now,we have never really had the need.

This is a unique player and a unique situation,i suspect our owner very much recognises that fact.

Several of those haven’t got a pot to piss in this summer.

£50m + Sancho % knocked off + Gabriel Jesus.

That should do it, if not, then just write a cheque for £250m.

Yeah this is how I feel.

I don't think we NEED him. If for whatever reason he didn't sign, I don't think the ship would sink.

But, he's an extraordinarily exceptional talent by the looks of things. Much like Mbappé, he's a legitimately top class player already, never mind as a prospect. And he's still ridiculously young; younger than Foden and Torres.

There's a great chance he's available to buy in the summer. He's not playing for a club that is doing well enough on or off he pitch that they could convince him to stay/keep him hostage. We're one of the few clubs that could afford him and match his ambitions with on pitch success short and long term. He's apparently very open to playing in England. AND BEST OF ALL HE'S APPARENTLY A MASSIVE CITY FAN.

Even if we had no issues up top; if Aguero was fit with no injury issues, Jesus was at his best form, and hypothetically we had some 3rd striker that was also good, we should still be going after Haaland.

We might not sign him, but we absolutely have to try. His talent and match winning ability could even exceed KDB's one day. We already have one other of that potential in Foden, so imagine if we had two!
