Smarter decision now would be to sign him when he's 24-25. Let him spend 4 years in Spain and join us when Kane is about 33-34. Raiola gets his double pay day and we get a striker entering his prime. (Assuming we get Kane, obviously)I don't think Haaland will move this summer but it doesn't stop us joining the auction next time around even if Kane is signed.
He wont be the last striker the world will produce.I don't think Haaland will move this summer but it doesn't stop us joining the auction next time around even if Kane is signed.
Not the finished article but he will get better. He wont be the last striker the world will produce.
Dont get this obsession over him.
There will be one around in 5 years time to replace Kane.
I think it stops exactly that......I don't think Haaland will move this summer but it doesn't stop us joining the auction next time around even if Kane is signed.
Its not a guarantee that would sign Haaland or will be favourites next summer but there is no harm in joining the auction.I think it stops exactly that......
Kane comes in for 100m+..signs a 3-5 year contract and then 12 months into it we go and spend another 65m+ on another striker???????? No way that happens....Kane would be 28-29 with 2-4 years on his contract...who is going to pay for him then EVEN IF we were to sell......and there is no way we would do that unless he had been a huge flop
He's desperate to win team trophies (and that's from the horses mouth I believe), given we need a top striker anyway we must be top of his wish list. He's got a former teammate in Walker and England teammates in Sterling, Stones & Foden already here (and possibly Grealish :) ). Not to mention Pep.I see lots of people echoing this 'kane is desperate to join city' latch. Can I politely ask, where the fuck is this coming from?
If it is a rumour of him supposedly telling spurs he he wants to leave, and a rumour from months ago saying he asked Sterling what it's like up north, then im sorry to say, it is horsepoo.
If that's the case we are not signing him.I don't think we would pay him that from the off, maybe 200k plus incentives, then a promise of extension, wages rise, commercial value rights increasing significantly if he was a success.
Why would there be an auction if he has a 65 million release clause? Wouldnt all clubs interested just offer 65 million and then its all about where he wants to go and what package he is offered? Its not a guarantee that would sign Haaland or will be favourites next summer but there is no harm in joining the auction.
Well if he is not happy joing this club at 20 on 200k week, F HimIf that's the case we are not signing him.

The stars have most definitely aligned.
There's never any guarantees but I can't understand why anybody would be in denial about this.
In term of wages it would be. Dortmund could renegotiate with Haaland and takeout the release clause and if they decide to cash in next summer then too get big moneyWhy would there be an auction if he has a 65 million release clause? I can't see Haaland renegotiating with Dortmund in order to get them more money. As it stands Dortmund would get €70mill next Summer (or whatever the buyout is) and Haaland gets either/or more wages and signing on fee.In term of wages it would be. They could improve his current deal for a season and take out the clause (or the very least increase the deal)I can't see Haaland renegotiating with Dortmund in order to get them more money. Not a chance Raiola will let them take out a release clause. In term of wages it would be. Dortmund could renegotiate with Haaland and takeout the release clause and if they decide to cash in next summer then too get big money
Wouldn't higher transfer fee increase Raiola's commission as well? If thats the case he could do it.Not a chance Raiola will let them take out a release clause.

But that would reduce his negotiating position 12 months down the line, not a scoobies chance that's happening. They could improve his current deal for a season and take out the clause (or the very least increase the deal)
