Second only to De Bruyne? Don't be a complete clown. So he's better than Bernardo? Would you take him over Foden? Do me a favour.
No blue tinted specs on. He's 26 years old and falls over if someone bangs a door. If you think he's world class then your idea of world class and mine are completely different.. What defines world class for you? Bernardo? De Bruyne? Mahrez? Cancelo? Fernandinho? Phil Jones?
Would you have him at City? 100% I wouldn't, he'd fuck up everything with his falling over and breaking up play.
In fact, I'd rather have a dose of the clap than have him in our club.
Agree 100%. And City went public pretty swiftly by announcing the club had no interest in signing him well before United showed much interest. And no, he wouldn't get anywhere near our team.

I've often wondered - if the loan were interest free? For FFP purposes would only the repayment of interest have to count?!!

the 1.4b that Chelsea’s owe Roman is interest free but if the club is sold they have to pay it back “IN FULL” so why can’t city do the same?

The shit behind the scenes that’s going on the media don’t highlight about Chelsea scousers and the scum owners especially the scum who hide there money on some island that no one can scrutinise! We fart the media say ffp state owned unlimited funds.

The player wont want Chelsea ahead of us,and im confident we wont allow money to scupper this deal.
I suspect you mean hopeful rather than confident? Unless you have anything to base that confidence on? I mean spending perhaps 2x the club's record transfer fee is hardly something we can just expect to happen. I am hopeful too BTW, but not so confident. Personally I think we'll get outbid by the rags (i.e. disaster) or maybe even PSG, not that they need him.

What you say is not complete nonsense, in fact much of it makes sense. But our preparedness to pay REALLY top money is unproven. I mean what is our transfer record? £60m ish?

We may have to pay double that and who knows, maybe we would, but maybe not.

Thing is we haven’t really had to spend that type of money on an individual in recent years. We showed in 2015 and 2017 for example we are fully prepared to pay the current top end of the bracket for midfielders and defenders (KDB, Mendy etc) but we’ve got by with just picking up decent prospects for our forward line for the most part since Pep arrived, aside from Mahrez. A lot of that has been thanks to Aguero still churning out the goals so we haven’t had to enter the market for a top class forward, which are the players that command the biggest fees.

Aguero was a relatively huge fee back in 2011, but we knew we had to pay it. I’m sure if they think they have their target lined up this summer they won’t be putting an arbitrary limit on spending. The fact there is interest in Haaland shows that isn’t the case anyway, the club will know for a fact he’s going to cost around the £100m mark.

No,i mean confident.

We require a new striker, and he ticks every box twice over.I cant see money preventing the signing, especially given our recent (relative) conservatism in that area.

Its not very often a player comes along who will almost guarantee we step up a level.
