Chelsea will certainly try the same way they tried to sign Aguero in 2016. Problem is, there isn't really a metric that puts Chelsea ahead of us. We've got a stronger and more stable project, better manager, richer and he has a connection to our club. There isn't a reason why he'd want Chelsea over us.
Hope so, but my concern comes down to the fact that Chelsea don't mind smashing records(they get off light) and City don't want the bad press. The rumour is, they want to offload 7 players(Jorginho, Barlkey, Alonso, Rudiger, Christensen, Drinkwater, Moses) . Just you watch them get silly money for Jorginho and Barkley(dodgy selling fees, same with Liverpool's transfers) to excuse a massive fee.

edit: It was 7 players, my mistake, I was looking at an old article from the summer.

It’s unreal how much money they get for some of the absolute shite they sell

A big bag of cash like Hazard got?

Of course they could offer a ridiculous fee for Haaland but we'd only have ourselves to blame if we're missing out on Haaland for monetary reasons. Raiola has stated that Haaland will make his move based on sporting ambition and not for money and I oddly believe him, to make a move to Chelsea who have an unproven manager, may not make it into Europe, don't regularly make the UCL knockouts etc would be a reckless move.

Because he is settled in this country and why would he choose the Bundesliga over the Prem?
Ah okay. Although I’m sure I saw a report recently that said he would only leave if he got an offer from a top 3 team in a top 5 league. Not sure how accurate that was but Dortmund would come under that. He’d be closer to home and could end up playing reularly for a top side

Will probably be a youngster, but I wouldn't rule out zin. Dortmund would give him a slight chance of winning things, plus they are in the CL every season, something the PL clubs who might fancy him won't be able to offer.

That didn't get him a medal though did it? Money is the number one motivator and the reason we have missed out on other targets

I'm not denying the importance of money but Hazard does not make that move if Chelsea do not win the UCL. If you recall, Hazard literally came out and said it was between United and City before going to Chelsea upon them winning the CL.

Yeah I did remember him saying it and was embarrassed for him. Its like Pogba saying he had unfinished business at United, when he wanted City. How does something a club has done in the past, before you arrive, decide your future? Especially when everyone could see City had a better blueprint for the future. Article here about how Hazard and his agent "followed the money"..

Not all but the best players put the prospects of medals over money. They’ll get big money anywhere.
Course they will get big money anywhere but we have been outpriced many times on players even though they had more chances of winning trophies with City

The problem is that London is a massive pull for players and Chelsea don’t fuck around when they want someone .

Could be,but he said a player they are interested in, not necessarily one we were trying to move on. Thought about Delap as a possible. After all if we had Haaland and Jesus, his opportunities would be limited.

Braaf fits the profile: they've been interested in Sancho (got him of course) and Hudson-Odoi in recent years (Bayern now seems more likely for him). Also his nationality means a move to Germany would be quite comfortable.

Has he been quoted anywhere saying he wouldn’t want to join us? Why do I keep seeing the odd poster saying he wouldn’t be interested?
His dad played for us and and had a good relationship with the fans. Erling has been seen in a city shirt as a kid long after his dad left us, plus he had been very pro City on his Twitter up until he turned professional a couple of years ago even sharing a Manchester is blue tweet from the club! On top of that we can match any wages and challenge for all honours with a world class manager and a clear path straight in as Aguero replacement.

His agent. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending how you look at it) city won’t deal with him
