Do we know how much city are willing to pay this guy per week?
I imagine they will "officially" pay him around 300,000 thousand a week but in reality he will quietly receive a massive signing on bonus.
I hope they don't pay him more than Kevin, we don't want any unhappy players

Does he fuck. He's BBC. Simon Stone is more likely to get info from the club.
When was the last time Ornstein got anything right? I genuienly can’t remember anything for a good while. There was period of tome where he was super reliable for Arsenal but haven’t heard much from him since

That's my point. He's BBC and he wasn't even BBC North West. That's Simon Stone and I doubt the club would give him anything more than the bare minimum.

So according to Forbes Dortmund as a club are valued at £647 million. Maybe a better bet is for CFG to swoop in and do a bit of asset stripping

Anyone know the reasons Bayern aren't involved here? He seems perfect to replace Lewandowski next year, have him sit tight for another 12 months and basically give him what they sell Lewandowski for as his signing on fee. They then have his replacement for the next 10 years lined up for €75m. They're lack of involvement would concern me, like or hate them they know what they're doing so to stay away from what looks an obvious solution is more than interesting.

David Ornstein has done a pod today for The Athletic, he says he has good sources at City and they are not interested. Kane and Lukaku are also going to be round the £100m fee.

I’d take this Patson Daka from Salzburg. Ings and Silva also come into the equation as cheaper alternatives.

Whilst a striker is overdue, it is worth noting than next year Haaland, Mbappe and Neymar, could all be going at bargain basement prices.

To a degree it would be no bad thing to see how the market settles post COVID as apart from contracts ending there will be a re-adjustment - this must be playing into the thoughts of the club management
