I said last year when they were struggling that their time at the top will be coming to a stop if their owners don’t start spending money. 2/3 years Klopp will probably be gone and Salah, Mane, Van Dijk will all be in their danger years and they will be at risk of getting left behind. I think they may be considering selling Salah next summer, just who would be willing to spend £100m+ on a 30 year old.
If Salah was available for £100m next season I'd sign him in a heartbeat. He's got another 5 years at the very top.

His injury record is impeccable and he lives a professional lifestyle.

PSG when Messi, Ramos, Mbaapa all gone

Hip flexor injuries are not necessarily recurring at all. Like many injuries, avoiding the strain is a matter of simply not playing when the doctor says; you play one game earlier, and it’s a problem. You will hear frequently from Dortmund fans that their club isn’t careful with their athletes. You take their last game in the weekend for instance. They had NINE players ruled out because of injury AND their goalkeeper was also subbed out during the game with a muscle injury. Having said this, I believe the diagnosis that he will be out until 2022 is bullshit given the journalist that “leaked” it. We’ll see, of course

I think the fact he has had an injury there before is some cause for concern.

I just hope this isn’t another transfer where those dickheads down the road just give his agent blank cheques and brown envelopes then crow in the media about him snubbing us.

It didn’t matter previously but it would be a huge blow if he went there and we’re still without a striker.

We have to go toe to toe with them for this guy, absolutely no fucking backing down, no matter how high the costs go. Get him and we’re set for ten years in that position like with Aguero.

Their highest earner is currently Van Dijk on £300k a week - Salah has been asking for £500k a week and Liverpool are struggling to get anywhere near it. They could try to sell him next summer, going into his final year, but they can't be that stupid.

Haaland wants to be the main striker, so would argue he won't want to be vying with Salah, Mane and Firminho.

More worryingly for Liverpool, they already have key personnel heading into their 30s and no major asset to sell outside of Salad to raise significant transfer funds like previously with Suarez and Coutinho.

The biggest difference between us, Liverpool's owners take plenty of cash out of the club, whereas, our owner doesn't take a penny out and everything we make is reinvested.
I remember last year before Liverpool ended up making the top 4, that there was a lot of talk of him leaving.

I remember Paris being floated out there, They could easily afford to pay him what he is looking for, and I could see the Qatar guys loving it from a PR perspective as well.

Wonder if Liverpool sells at 100M, if Paris offers it.

Lifestyle schmifestyle - He relies far too much on pace to still be at the very top at 35.

There is only the players desire to bank on, he’ll go where he wants to go, we know the fee/fees, they are fixed.
exactly, which is why i'm saying it will be the wrong thing to do if we, for instance, tried to negotiate 10-15% off the deal for two months while PSG and madrid offer him the money he wants. leave our pride of "oh, you wanna go to PSG for the MONEY? well enjoy" at the door.

We wouldn’t and no reason to think we would, because we will know the cost of the deal going into it. What we won’t do, and shouldn’t do is, if we think we have an agreement then they come back saying PSG have offered another xxx, Madrid have offered yyy and get into an auction.
