Said this on here a couple of times do we actually need a out and out striker? We seem to do very well without one(save for the odd blip). And before anybody piles on can I just say when we had Aguero injured( most of the time) we smashed this league. Who would we drop to accommodate a striker and stifle the way we play?. Pep is using tactics never seen before in this league and apart from losing the European cup final with one of his dodgy selection I don’t see who could make us any better.
I hear what you’re saying & somewhat agree. However, having an out & out top striker in the squad would give us even more options to change things if needed during a game

I'd say that if we're planning on paying the lad £15m a year on top of a large fee & expenses for his agent & Dad, he'd be playing most of our gamee.
He will. When Lewandowski was available to play during Pep’s time at Bayern, he played every single game except TWO in all the years. That’s how he works with goal-machine players

I reckon it will be alot more than 15 mill a year, we have people on more than that already. Wouldn't surprise me if it was close to double.

Whatever he would cost in wages, he is worth it.
His goals, and the fear he would engender in every opponent, not to mention the flexibility he would give Pep in terms of tactics mean it would be almost a sackable offence for the powers that be not to go all out to get him.
If we get him, and keep Pep for another 3 years after this season, we would win the next 3 titles, a minimum of 3 or 4 of the 6 domestic cups, and most likely 2 or 3 champions leagues.

Or we could hum and hah over his transfer and watch as one of our rivals get him and win some of those trophies in our place.
He would be the final piece in making City the most complete, and the most feared, side in English football history.

Im naturally a negative cuss a lot of the time so part of me fully expects the club to distance themselves from his transfer and instead go all out to sign Messi again the summer

I don’t want to get anyone excited, but he’s scored 70 goals in a season for City on my Newcastle FM save. Sign him up Txiki.
I must be using the wrong tactics/formation he is a 25 goal a season man for me lol

ps though he has missed about 7 pens, so is fitting right in with the real life team :)

This is what it ultimately boils down to for me. Yeah there’s a cheaper Vlahovic ‘option’, or going back in for Kane etc etc, but they’re just good options - not phenomenal options imo.

Bite the bullet, pay the fees, reap the rewards.

I desperately hope Khaldoon sees it exactly this way.

We cannot miss out and see him go to Chelsea or even worse, it doesn’t bear thinking about.

That tit Gabby Agbonlahor revealed today on Talk Shite that he earned £70k a week at Villa ten years ago.

Let that sink in and then tell me Haaland ain't worth £400k a week.
£400k a week is around 4% of our revenues (and decreasing every year). If you think a 21 year old striker who has a legitimate chance to push us over the line in the Champion's League, win the club's first few ballon d'ors, and become one of the world's most marketable players along the way isn't worth that then I would question your basic reasoning abilities.
