Erling Haaland

I would take him at City. Not watched a right lot of him but I saw a lot to like in that nations league performance. Pace, power, two footed, natural goalscorer, knows when it's better to assist. He'll probably only improve under Pep, that said he's probably out of our price range now and he might not even want to come to City. You would think his dad would talk him out of going to United though. As long as he doesn't end up there, I'm not too fussed.

This kid looks some player! If we’ve got money put aside for Messi, I’d gamble it all on this lad. Great finisher, pace, power and a physical presence.

Isn’t he one of Raiola’s boys?
IIRC then that would a good reason to keep him off the ‘want’ list because Raiola would demand £30M agent fee on top of the £75M buy-out and then be demanding a move away within 18 months.

IMO If you don’t want to become a circus then best to avoid the clowns.

Thought the buy-out was 60? If I’m correct, that’s why Dortmund begrudgingly signed, as they were still fleeced for agent fees by Raiola.

Barca should never sold Eto'o, Barcelona style did not suit Zlatan, he did score over 15 goals but not good enough, maybe todays Barca but not back in the days.

Haaland isn't anything like Lewandowski. Teams will work out how to defend against him and he will have barren spells. Mbappe is having similar problems right now

Thats probably true so we'd end up forking out 100 Million + however the only good thing from that sort of behaviour if hes being sold on after 2 years is only 3 clubs could afford him - Real Madrid, PSG, or United and we would likely have him on a 5 year contract and would therefore royaly pull their trousers down re asking price if as I suspect hes been very good for us. However whats to say the player doesnt want to move after 2 years if hes had a fantastic 2 years and won everything? I cant really see a down side.

Pep had Lewandowski at Bayern with similar style and he scored tons of goals under him. It's a myth that a tall striker won't a success under him. A player like Haaland will score 40+ goals under Pep's system easily and Don't forget he is way faster than Lewandowski

You compare strikers just because of their size?

Actually Lewy is only 1.84 (not especially tall for a striker) - whereas Haaland is 1.94.

And his attributes are actually very different from that of Lewy. Lewy e.g. can play as a no. 10 (and did so before), too.

I've given up on this kid as soon as I learned of his fiendish agent. I just hope the rags don't get him.

That's mental that I thought Lewy was one of the tallest strikers, I guess becuase of his aura?

He converts more headers than he should for his size - and yes, he is more that typical centre forward of old than Agüero is. But no - he is not that type of striker. I would call him more an allrounder.

I think that video shows it more than just the scenes of his goals.

If the rumors are correct then while selling haaland dortmund will receive the buy out clause 75 million and riola will receive 100 million. May be more. He is smart.
Yes he do not have good relation with us but i think he thinks about his player too well. He had fight with pep because he was taking the side of ibrahimovic. But he is very expensive.
