Erling Haaland

Of course he is unproven, but 'lacking' 'little to suggest' is just insulting.

He might not make it but he's the best cf prospect I've seen at City & is about 2 years ahead of where Haaland was at the same age.
"Little to suggest is bassed on the fact that he has had one and a bit games in the first team - little evidence base to suggest some of he hype - he needs to be given time to do this consistently and produce consistently before people start saying he is going to be this and that....its this sort of pressure that can wreck a career before it even starts and why Pep has protected Foden and ignored the clamour to start him more up until this season and the back end of last.

Again it matters not where he and Haaland are or were at comparable ages - it matters where he is right now and where he may get in the future.

"Lacking" - again was a direct comparison in terms of pace.....you seem to want to read something into it that isnt there, but thats up to you

Neither was insulting - just a comment on people getting over excited and in terms of his pace.

Like I said - he cold become a world star for all any of us know - he could also just become another lower division striker - we will have to wait and see . He should get his chance to show something hopefully this season if our bad luck with injuries continues..

He is a legitimate top prospect.

That's it, full stop. He has to take that & produce it at first team level, in order to make it. Anybody basing it on one game would be a fucking dick.

But people are absolutely 100% entitled to think he is a top prospect, becuse he is. Absolutely. He doesn't 'lack' anything, anymore than any other absolute top prospect did, including Haaland at the same age & Sancho etc etc.

Now he has to improve.

Which is what I said in the first place.

Tell Raiola to fuck off and get over here

We’d be absolutely mad not to snap this guy up next summer for his £63m release clause. Regardless of fees or agent issues... He would be perfect for us!
The biggest problem is that we want long term commitment. Raiola's players don't provide that.

After 3-4 years we are back in the market for striker. Yes we might get money but top class strikers don't just grow on trees. What if there is not any one available then to replace him? All the money in that case don't matter.

Its too big of a risk.

He will probably go to Juve for few years and then jump ship to PSG maybe.

Lautaro Martinez or Joao Felix I think we'll go for, seem to fit our profile better.

Four years of having the best striker in the world >>>>>>>>>> four years of not having the best striker in the world.

I think it all comes down to the player and not the agent.
As for the signings, Haaland is a no brainer! Lautaro is still a bit raw and Felix hasn't done anything yet, so I am not sure why or how he fits our profile. The only player I would take over Haaland would be Mbappe but that wouldn't be happening, so its Haaland for me.

This is a often repeated lie that's increasingly grating in this thread. It's nonsense.

Raiola gets his players a move when they want to move. If they don't want to move they will stay put. Verratti has been at PSG for nearly 10 years. Nedved never moved from Juventus. 5 years since Donnarumma signed with Raiola and the world said he would be gone in a year, he's still there, he's got no interest in leaving.

Pogba's not going anywhere soon heading into his 6th year at United.

Raiola gets onto young players heading to the top and he knows how to get them a few good stepping stones on the way. Once they're at the top, at a club they like, they aren't going anywhere.

Neither are fit to scrape shit off his shoes. If we have him for several years, rags or scousers or Chelsea don't. That's good enough for starters.

exactly if we get him for 4 years and have to sell him we Will get a shit ton of money for a player for once !!! It’s a no brainier

To the person who wants to keep all the players till end of time we are a club not a kidnapper ffs

I don't know that he is faster than Delap. He may be, but Delap is fast, it's not anything he 'lacks'. He may also be more skillful than Haaland. That depends purely on how he adapts & whether he can make his tricks work, at senior level & if he can keep the composure to use them. Some of the stuff he does is straight out if the Rodney Marsh/ Frank Worthington book & might not work at all in senior football. He may not finish like Haaland st senior level. We will see.

But there is nothing he lacks. He has 'it' all. He has to be able to do it at the top level though. Some can't, at all.

If he can, still no reason he couldn't play with Haaland in the future. A proper back 4, two up front, problem solved.

Or you just sell one of them?

If we bought Haaland and then Delap turns out to be similarly talented, it's not a problem! You sell Delap for £100m or Haaland for more than you paid, whichever you feel like.

Aguero is leaving soon, Jesus can be moved around the front 3. Delap is 17.

It's a potential 2025 problem, not a next summer problem, and you just deal with it if and when it happens.

Yes it's no problem. But a team who pasees like City, with two players of their power upfront, would be some handful.
