I've written it right there mate. His Dad's career was cut short. He knows he could fall at the wrong angle tomorrow and it's all over. There are no guarantees in this life and there is absolutely no guarantee they will get 3 big deals.

He gets a life changing deal from City for 6 years, injuries happen just look at Kev, Laporte & Sergio difference is now the surgery, pitches & without doubt they are financially sorted straight away whereas before 75% would be fucked

He will get £108m 6 year deal + bonuses, image rights etc how much more does the kid need
Both Raiola & Alfie will be financially sorted also

Totally agree with you on this one. The rags have huge debt, had to take out a further massive loan to get them through covid and people think they are in a position to drop 100M+ on one player, I'm not having it. Be the same as Sancho, they will be all mouth through the press, but won't have the dough to do the deal.

I'm prob in a league of one on this, but I'm not crazy about Messi. Our philosophy is all about the team, whereas a Messi team seems to be all about him. Added to the fact that it will disrupt our discipline of not paying ridiculous salaries like the Scum

Tbf there's a pattern when it comes to the rags. The rags' spending fluctuates greatly depending on if they secure CL or not.

Season - Position Finished - Spending Next Season
19/20 - 3rd - €83.50m (€18.40m in)
18/19 - 6th - €226.78m
17/18 - 2nd - €82.70m (€30.55m in)
16/17 - 6th - €198.40m
15/16 - 5th - €185.00m

They spend alot less when they have CL secured. I reckon if Ole manages to get them a top 4 spot this season, Woodward will probably sit on his arse and not break the bank for players.

Should be noted that these 2 were also Maureen and the Paper Boy's first summer windows, which would usually be higher spending regardless.

when i see things like this, if i was a young player i would be thinking , Utd inexperience manager with no track recored, dont play good football. Barca could i trust them to be able to pay my wages ? Chelsea change their manager every few weeks !. Bayern big fish small pond, buy the best germany players every year. I really dont see how any of those clubs would suit a young player. Unless its all about money.
 
Controversial and mostly daydreaming I know but maybe if Haaland comes it's not to replace Aguero or Jesus in the middle but to replace Sterling or Mahrez out wide?

If Haaland needs space to run into he won't get that through the middle for us. Alternatively on the wings there's often the opportunity to beat a man and run in on goal. We usually forfeit that chance by turning back to pass but would Haaland have the belief and ability to take it on?

Just a thought :-)
