Last I saw were reports we weren't getting a new sponsor yet and Etihad were extending for a year. We never had £500 mill for Messi, we had the means to finance Messi but that was outside what the club 'had' for other tranfers and still would be . Doubt the net spend will be more than £100 mill.

city have money and more than £100million to spend this summer ? if we only had £100million then we will not be getting haaland, forget the FFP its dead in the water ? the so called elite have had to bring in money from the outside in loans to keep them from going under because of debt repayment and have to be paid first. because the late fee's they have on them are crazy and can add millions over night

the best thing manchester city have going for them is in the transfer market is normally we paid in full and not broken up on a time scale of payments and targets ? we will control the market this summer and the money we spend will be moved around from clubs to clubs in transfers. dortmond will be spending some of the money they bring in for haaland and sancho and they are great at finding talent for peanuts

It's a CFG investment not a transfer fund, and can't be used as income for FFP.

forget FFP barca madrid and the so called eltie are fucked with loaning money from a outside sauce
uefa will have to but it on hold or scrap it completely

£10O Mill net was my guess. we'll probably bring in about £70 mill in sales. So we can get Haaland for about £100 mill then a left back and central mid for roughly £75 mill combined. Unless Messi comes for nothing think that will be all we spend. 3 players in. 4 if we get Messi too but then expect we'd sell Jesus or Mahrez.

I think this will be the transfer which will show clubs city's financial might. Real Madrid and barca will be saying to dortmund we can pay you for him but wait for us to sell, where as City will just go we can pay now here's the money. I honestly don't think we will haggle much either from what Tolmie is saying we really want him this could be a big statement deal.

We do not just pay transfer fees in full upfront, the cash flow may be there to do so if it was absolutely required but we have to balance the books just like any other club. Our transfers are structured similar to any other club, our sales come in installments and our acquisitions are paid in installments.

Smacks of the Van Persie situation to me this. Bacon face was determined to go out on a high and win a final league title before retiring and they needed a top, top striker in RVP. We were bidding as well and pulled out when the fees got too steep, and look where it ended. He was unplayable at times, got them 26 league goals and the title.

If Harland goes to the scum, we could be looking at a repeat. We must pay whatever is necessary to get him, or at least to make sure the rags do not.

My fear is we have never paid really top money for anyone - not compared to the likes of Real, PSG or the scum - and if the bidding gets like £100m+ we will drop out again.

We haven't done too badly with such poor negotiating.

Halaand wants 350k a week according to current press gossip.

nobody in world football pays that in covid-19 hit and world pandemic ? its just not happening unless your utd
manchester city could break the clubs wage bill in wanting a marquee signing. but it also would need a outside sponsor to back city like puma and they pay a big chunk of his wages in shirt sales and advertising

i really think united don't want haaland but they want sancho and are playing games in getting the transfer fee up so city pay up. united know city have a sell on with sancho so its a dirty trick in a way ?

stories is city may wave the sell on fee if they get haaland for under £100million so united have to pay the full transfer fee for sancho

Rumours Chelsea want to include Werner in the deal to bring cost down
A) Would Dortmund take him? B) Would he want to go? C) Haven’t his wages increased recently which would mean he’d have to take a pay cur again? I think sometimes we forget that you have to get these players to agree to go the other way. I think it’s probably irrelevant but who knows, maybe I’m wrong
