Suffice to say those kind of opportunities would be few and far between if he played for us (Villa still had 3/4 men back 11v10) but at least he's clinical in front of goal. Also shows a bit about his character too given his confidence there despite his mare last game.

I really do hope we get him. He'd score - and I think this is the technical term for it - a shit load in this team.

You missed out the important bit "at the price being quoted". Haaland is going to command a ridiculous transfer fee. And I think - most likely he'd be worth it. My main point though - is that - under current management - we've never, ever signed a top-top talent priced at top-top fees...

He didn't mention anything about him staying at Dortmund

That is saying we won't sign him, rather than he'll stay at Dortmund.

Not that i'm agreeing with it. Thb, the reason I'm even twlking about it because I half thought you might have taken the recent comments about Dortmund getting closer to top4 as people thinking he'd stay there, thats all.

I don't think it does, hence my initial response. See above. Anyway, i made my own comment in Dortmund and top4, so speaking for myself rather than others.

That isn't really what he said. One of what can be read into it, playing devil's advocate, but what he said was they wont sell him regardless. Sure, won't make it easier, it will be hard regardless.


I remain of the marginal opinion that it would be slightly easier to sign him if they Do make top 4.

In fairness to you, touche. I did click on the link, but read the wrong post on the page, so ok I see your point.

The one you were actually refereing to didn't say it either. Implied maybe, but not enough to warrant the sweeping statement you made blanketing multiple people. Which was my point, and I stand by it. Bening one of those people, i responded, it wasnt to bicker or be pedantic.

I said a couple of times it was implied
 
That is frankfurt 2 down with minutes left.

3rd and 4th are now 2 points ahead of dortmund with 3 games left. One slip by either, dortmund are in there. Every chance to finish 4th
