I mentioned this in his performance thread.

I think it's probably just because he's tired mentally and physically and the occasion is probably getting to him a tiny bit, he had more time with all those chances than he thought he did.

I wouldn't be surprised if he has a slow/poor start to next season. He'll need time off to recover and I'm not sure how much he'll get.

IMO he'll get the rest because Pep will recognise how much football he's played, and use the myriad of other attacking options he has. Especially as Phil's the most junior in that position.

Think with a pure 9 Raz will be more productive on the left too, and that'll help allow us to give Phil a bit of a rest.

Bringing in a pure 9 will change the side a lot, Jesus, Sterling and Torres will all be a lot better with a focal point to play off and occupy defenders and remove the mental burden of having to be the guy who has to score every game.

I suspect it will be bad for Bernardo though, which is a shame.

I'd love to see a Foden-Haaland-Sterling front 3. I think they'd eclipse the Sané-Aguero-Sterling front 3 in every way.

I'll be bitterly disappointed if he moves to any other club.
This signing should be our number one priority and if it means surprise outgoings then so be it.

Yeah Sergio has to be replaced and it will allow the others to play their game.

I was thinking Gundo may be the one taking a reduced role. Bernardo is a dynamo in the middle there.

People talk about marketing, well a young, front 3 of Foden, Haaland, Torres could be a dream on and off the pitch.

I had to ask my wife what it meant and she said it's slang for 'genius'.
“Un crack” actually derived from an old English/Scottish term for a brilliant player which was adopted by the French and Spanish so widely that it is now a much bigger part of their football lexicon than ours. Probably due to the influence of English and Scottish coaches or “Misters” (Another English term which is now widely used in football in the Romance language nations) who travelled abroad in the early days of professional football.
You will often see references in old football reports from the 1930s/50s/60s to eg “City’s crack centre forward Revie”.
In much of mainland Europe and South America it is the ultimate compliment to a player. Similar to our young folks adopting US basketball terminology to praise someone like Foden as ‘a baller’

Lovely cheers for that !

Gut feeling says this one is already done, I feel as if the rumors about him have slowed down because the word is starting to get out that he's gonna end up coming here.

Can't help but notice that even the Madrid journo's have toned the rumors down as well, wonder if the indication has already been given.

The most clear signs in this regard have come from our own club more than from the other clubs. That’s why I have the similar feeling as you
