1 He wore blue trainers and a had a blue bag.
2 He refused to score against us in the QF
3 He said hello to Foden after a game
4 He walked around the City badge
5 He once wore a City shirt and sang about the popes dislike of utd
6 His dad played for us
7 His hero is Shaun Goater and he grew up wanting to score a winning goal off his arse.

Nailed on to sign.

Points 1, 2, 5 and 7 are enough for me. Fuck his quality, get him in just for those.

1) We are the best team in the world
2) We have the best manager in the world
3) We can afford him
4) He supports City
5) He is the ideal signing for us
6) We are the ideal destination for him
7) Both he and City are making the right noises
8) His reputation is such right now that this is the right time to negotiate a massive deal
9) The Premier League is the biggest of all

I've been reading the thread for months - it's mad that despite all of those 9 reasons above, it's still debated as to whether he'll come (myself included). It just makes so much sense for him to come here.

10) Another reason being that we're getting rid of our current striker obviously freeing up a space for him to come in and make the position his own.

Desperate for it to happen!

All the sense and circumstance suggests it is the right move at the right timenfor both parties (all 3 really if you include bvb cashing in).

Yet, it is the transfer window, nothing is guaranteed, plent of nonsensical things happen. A long way to go before it even starts (opens), then a long way to go of ups and downs, speculation, negotiation, twists etc. etc.


I pwesonally am quite positive about our chances, for reasons already stated through this thread, and I can't help myself not seeing past the sense of it. But I'm also taking nothing for granted and ruling nothing out.

That has truth to it. He is a very rare type of player, so perfect match for our very rarely involvement.

This wasn’t an information, it was basically a guess on their podcast, if you listen to it, conveniently after Frankfurt bottled UCL qualification.
What I have been saying is, anything before the UCL final means very little.
 
I agree as others have pointed out that it is this summer or never. This summer because of the Covid19 and the great economic crisis and also with Dortmund demands over 100 million for him I think City and maybe also Chelsea are the only teams that are really relevant for him. If he does not come to us this year then next summer with the relatively low purchase clause all the elite clubs of Europe will be after him. I really hope we can do it now
