He's no David Icke for insider information that's for certain.

He used to be, or should I say his old Granada boss Paul Doherty was (son of City legend, Peter)

I did some early work experience when it was a strong desk of Welsby and McCaffrey.

Doherty would just pick the phone up to Swales each morning.

As a kid, I thought it would always be that easy :(

We aren't going to make 11th hour mega-bids for players such as these.

How do we know that we were really actively pursuing Kane? What evidence do we have? We made one bid of players plus cash. Everything else is hearsay and I don't trust any of it.

The conclusions we make are based on tenuous evidence and therefore nearly always wrong.

It's like trying to track a bird. A few footprints, and then the damned thing flies and the trail vanishes. The smart thing to do is not to bother.

United have signed Varane, Sancho and Ronaldo. Chelsea have signed Lukaku and are heavily rumoured to sign Kounde. And yet they are still afraid that a striker-less City will win the title. The hate and anger stems from the fear that we're too good. We're massive.
Other than maybe Lukaku, and only as a stop gap,not one of those players would i want in our squad.

Every other team would swap their squad for ours in a heatbeat, which speaks volumes.

It seems a few of our own also need to get fucking real and be grateful for who and what we are.

Certainly a roller coaster ride the last few weeks. Those criticising City have no idea what efforts have been made, or the reasons for Kane,Ronaldo not going ahead. These guys have delivered beyond our wildest dreams for 10 years, using a strategy that has served them well. I have no doubt that if the fans are dismayed, the management must be equally dismayed, maybe even more so having put in lots of work and then being frustrated. If in my lifetime we never won another cup, another title,I could honestly say that the joy I have experienced of late has been immense. Haaland or no Haaland will not change what I feel. There is almost a raggish sense of entitlement creeping into the forum.

It be next season!

Have city got the balls to go all out and pay what it takes?
History says a player with a buyout Clause we like we will go all out for!

Now have we the bollocks to pay agent fee of 20m father 20m Haaland signing on fee 20m And match the wages of any other team have offered!?

Oh and the player is open for not just to come to us but Madrid PSG the scum as well?

History says we will pull out and say woah player doesn’t just want Man City so we are out!!

Months of getting laughed at. The least I hope is
that it didn’t affect the squad for today’s game
We have become very passive and meek as a club, it's as if the adverse publicity and the media campaign of dirty Arab money has genuinely affected us.

Why? or is it me over reacting?

We used to be so precative in the transfer market, getting our targets and also weakening our opponents.

High time we went aggressive ALA PSG.

Well not really, if it is the real welsby he lives in the ae area as Keane and probably knows him.

Plus the daft **** was never nasty like that just a biased wanker
Happy to agree to disagree mate, in my opinion he is referencing the Keane/Haaland injury in a crap attempt at a joke. That seems more likely to me than (a) him having any inside info and (b) revealing his source so brazenly in the enormously unlikely event that he does have inside info.

I don’t have the energy to respond to the other replies, but I think you get the point. It’s like I’ve read people say a few times, we should be a bit like Chelsea in that we don’t care about what people say with regards to money — or PSG for that matter. Instead, I get the feeling that even small comments by Klopp seem to bother us. That way it’s going to be tough down the line.
It seems sometimes that we are trying to act like Bayern when the environment around us does not allow for this attitude of moral superiority.
And to be fair, I think Khaldoon meant to be ambitious this summer, if you look at his interview months ago. Just didn’t have the planning and attitude to do so - yet

Can you imagine if Elton Welsby, ex TV presenter from the wirral and ex front man of friday night football programme Kick Off! has received some inside info re Haaland?
That’s not what he said though, is it?

That isnt a take i agree with, but it is also very different to saying 'we are being laughed at' - which i hope you can know see was a poor, and nonsensical, choice of words.

Absolutely correct, the criticism on some threads is childish, we have successful, professional people running our club, owners who have funded us to become what we are and where we are, yet for some it's not enough. Pep will find a way and I'm hoping Gabby has his break out season.
