Can or can’t?
You're a rum cove.I promise I cannot see the future, folks...
Well Enrique proved himself with 2 teams , if we count Spain , he implemented his style to a team that lacks quality up front at the moment , and their style play ia quite promising . Had they a cynical goal scorer up front they could still win trophies despite Xavi, Iniesta being gone and Busquets past his prime. With Ansu Fati and Feran they will give the world cup a serious challenge next year.I was the first person to mention Enrique in the “Next manager after Pep” for the same reason as I like ETH, which is to preserve the style of football. I like the guy a lot. He does have a failed year at Roma, which can be explained with the context of the new owner etc, but it concerns me that he didn’t handle it well. At Barcelona he certainly had it easier. ETH has been at Ajax for about the same time as Pep has been here which is a good thing as he is tested in implementing an idea long term and being successful. He was also the manager at Bayern Munich II at the same time Pep manager their main team, so he certainly learned from him, which I find relevant. I would not be worried at all if he were appointed
I know these are only highlights, but I was checking 20/21 highlights from Lewandowski, Lukaku, Kane and Haaland who are IMO in the top 5 of best FW in the world(with Benzema). I don't know how anyone could see those and not think that Haaland is a tier above the others. It's frightening how good and complete he is, and how he can make some of the top players in the world look just good.
We don't need someone who creates and assists goals. We just need a physical presence with good link-up play who can produce his own goals. Anyone who thinks Haaland is not gonna be an all-time great(he is just too unique just like ATG) is fooling themselves. And getting him for 75m?!! Even with 30m wages, that's a steal. For me there are only 2 options:
1. Get Haaland.
2. Someone else gets Haaland, so we get Lewandowski or Benzema(very unlikely). He's gonna be great for 2-3 years, and he is old enough that Delap's progression is not stopped.
The Vlahovic, Darwin, Joao, Isaak won't do a big difference. I would prefer to wait for the next Haaland before wasting 80m on any of them.
There is no guarantee Enrique will leave Spain after the WC. It’s a good job. If he is free, he will be in consideration, I’m sure. So would Nagelsmann if on the market. And if Pep has any say in terms if suggesting names, I can see him mentioning ETHWell Enrique proved himself with 2 teams , if we count Spain , he implemented his style to a team that lacks quality up front at the moment , and their style play ia quite promising . The thing is Luis Enrique has more experience , yes he failed at Roma but learned from that experience. Ten Hag hasn't been tested outside of the dutch league yet so it's unfair to say Enrique failed at Roma while Ten Hag never failed, he hasn't been tested in another league.
The way Dortmund plays utilizes him differently than Pep would, that’s for sure. If you look at how he played at Salzburg, that would be the direction, including in terms of pressing. And the standard would be now Pep used Lewandowski at Bayern to some earth shattering statsHis stats are impressive.
He won't get the amount of space he get's for Dortmund though. Many of his goals are when he's played through on goal.
Week in week out teams against us play with everyone behind the ball and pack their penalty area.
Agree with that. Watched the game last night and thought Haller more compatible with our style of play than Haaland. The latter is evidently a far better goalscorer and prospect, but I'm unconvinced he'd fit with the style of play we've created in these two seasons. His stats are impressive.

Bayern pays Lewandowski £350k, that’s the issue/impediment for them with the Haaland package given they own the German environment. Whereas the Ronaldo transfer at United has altered the market in the PL already for this sort of transfersI was 100% certain he would go to bayern but I’ve got a feeling he’s coming to City
You need to watch how he played at Salzburg. The way he plays at Dortmund is not how we would use him. But Lewa and Aguero also had to adapt to Pep to thrive. It’s how it works. Haaland knows how the PL works since his childhood days, lolAgree with that. Watched the game last night and thought Haller more compatible with our style of play than Haaland. LOLHe was dreadful.. Insane that people think he's better than Foden.
I know I'm in the minority but it's a big pass from me. With the wages he demands/signing bonus, we'd be much better putting that money elsewhere and DEVELOPING DELAP.
If that was the case then we wouldn't entertain buying him. If we are serious about Haaland then it's because we think he can play our passing possesion football.Haarland is a handful but the sides he's involved with are always seem quite defensively unbalanced. Could be that you sacrifice too much by spamming through balls and diagonals at a player like this.
Benzema seems to know that his future at Real won't last too long , thats for thoes saying that Real wouldn't go for Haaland
