Far too abysmal a performance to be worthy of comment. For me the evening suddenly became all worthwhile with the skipper's interview. That hair is magnificent.

I don't think I've ever done this before with an England game.

But with 30 minutes to go I gave the remotes to Mrs Ed and told her she could watch her crap if she wanted to.

Dire with a capital D doesn't even describe it. If the FA think we are progressing under Roy well they are mistaken. Awful match to watch 60 minutes was enough for me.

We should have seen the writing on the wall when Hodgson chose his squad for the Euro 2012 finals.

How many games does half the nation have to switch off in the second half, how many games where Wembley is 2/3 empty, before the FA realises Hodgson is either inept or corrupt or both?

Was watching the game in the pub with a mate and I said how shit the game was and the only way England would score would be from a penalty or free kick.....so I bet the free kick....result :-)

I still can't see what the likes of Delph & Lallana provide. Neither are any better than Cleverley used to be for the England team.

It's all down to the colour of shirt worn during those weeks that are not classed as 'International Weeks'.

If the OS report of speculation re Jimmy is correct, a move to the Dippers, Forest, Saints, Bristol City or Barnsley would secure his place in the England team till he was fifty! And we would see him traipsing round the stands with Uncle Woy's hand on his shoulder and a suggestion that he could choose his starting berth, goalie included!

I am very happy with the lack of City players in the England team/squad. I'd hate them returning to us, thinking that they had
just played football. The re educating and training needed by City would be too much, so best they stay as far away as possible
until we start setting the standards and pattern of play for England ;-)

I'm inclined to agree. England v Villa would be an even contest.

It's sad when international football is considerably poorer than what we see every week.

This England team would get relegated. These are by-and-large limited players that are somehow made to look worse by the lack of any system. England need to pick a system and then pick the players who fit the system but when Woy comes out and says what a great game they had, first half was best ever blah blah fucking blah the flag waving clowns like cockney mark nod in agreement and nothing changes and any murmurs of descent are met with meth induced ideas about limiting foreign players.
