Without wanting to piss on everyone's chips the announcement on Monday is clearly going to be about the launch of several new routes (as posted earlier).

Hopefully 16 new routes and 4 that are cancelled!

If it IS just about ten new routes then it seems odd to describe it as “exciting” and even odder to use City as the place to announce it.

It’ll just be a discount for “Cityzens” probably.

“Exciting” to me would be a free trip for every season ticket holder to see a game at one of our sister clubs, but it won’t be that.

Perhaps not really the right thread, as this announcement is probably nothing but the PL can’t just refuse any new Etihad deal outright, they will have to justify their reason for doing so. I think the recent case is a shot across their bows that they better be sure they’re on sound legal ground if they reject any future deal.

It looks like the PL thinks they are above the law.

It's laudable how City manage to keep such a tight lid on almost everything - even Pep's deal; the press were guessing, or misled as it was a straight 2 year deal, rather than 1 year and another year option. All this going on with tribunals and little being leaked if anything from City.

It's a 14 year deal and the 1.7bn is in Euros, so closer to 100m a year.
