It has always baffled me that we continue to sing the Edin Dzeko 5 in a row, the 6-1 & empty seats at home, but yet haven't managed a decent song(s) for David Silva in 11 years, the centurions or domestic treble seasons or even a tune about City dominating English football.

We do need to step our game up at home in that regard, it's a shame because on away days you do hear some decent new ones getting started but they never seem to catch-on.

I always tried to work out a chant for David based on the chorus to Weezer's 'Buddy Holly' (00:27) but could never make it work beyond the first line.

The closest we ever got to a proper chant for David was from Villarreal away in 2011.

Sounds bizarre when thinks about that… we are the one and only ever Centurions in English football history, and we don’t have a single song about it. Yet we sing about one derby game 10 years ago still (when a 1-6 at the Swamp isn’t even unique for us!).

I did make a song up about us being a bit of a decent team, to the tune of “Made of Stone” by the Stone Roses, that was sung in SSL1 a couple of times. But the vast majority of our fanbase aren’t engaged in City fan culture at all and we have no avenues to get City fan culture out there to the masses. So nobody bar a few hundred in SSL1 ever joined in with it and it’s never been sung since.

It feels like we’ve hit a dead end as a set of fans. We need a proper shake up.

As others have said, the fans that go to the games , and I include myself in this need to look at themselves and take it on the chin as to what Pep has said

the atmosphere is shite at 90% of our games

20k people leaving on 80 mins to get back home for god knows what

however, the club needs to do something to address it but it seems like they are only interested in the bottom line and leveraging as much cash as they can out of the day trippers

there is a disconnect between the fans and the board/manager

dont we have a fans committee? why aren’t these points being made and addressed , or is it just a talking shop for the busy cnuts in our fanbase ?

I’m dreading the day that Pep leaves but on the other hand I’m hoping he takes the rest of the board with him so we can have a fresh start and get some passion back into the club

we have city matters who are regularly in contact.

I agree on the fans leaving early, said it before. Doesn't help they are showing the games on the screens outside (league games mainly) for people to not miss any of the game.

yeah i hate the 6-1 chant, even more so for me, that's when the red lot come back about empty seats all the time.

The constant singing about United, when we’re not playing United, really gets on my nerves.

Totally agree, you think back to when we were shit with WNRH, Uwe's Grandad, Feed the Goat etc. Our fans always felt to be at the forefront with the witty chants that caught on, complete opposite now. I can't even remember a new decent song we've made since that empty seats one, and even that does my fucking suede in now.
