Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

Atmospheres are crap at every ground in the country for a 12.30 unless its a huge game/derby. It was bloody miserable weather abd watching us play the only side in the league that make Burnley look entertaining, was never going to be bouncing. Games shouldn't be like this but we have to be realistic, that was just one we just had to get through both on and off the pitch.
Agreed. Shit kick off time against dire opposition. At least Burnley have to play that way to survive. Wolves are awful.

Atmopshere was non existent against Wolves and a lot of empty seats , when will the club realise our fan base is nothing like the Rags or Dippers , we are working class and local our support does not travel hundreds of miles and are not in the same financial position as all the out of towners who support the 'istree clubs.
But our club is now no different from any other with the ambitions to finish in the top four , there will be a pencil neck accountant who has never paid to attend a football match in his life ,working out how much each supporter will spend per head per game , including admission , food , drink, parking , programme etc, we are now a commodity , ive sent the club numerous e-mails and just get the standard bull shit scripted reply .
No chance i will ever again pay over £100 , incluidng all the expenses to watch us play a bunch of ragamuffins like Burnley or Wolves who contribute f*ck all to the entertainment , the club is losing its core support , and they need to wake up.
Every stadium has empty seats but it's only us that gets the focus, it was a good turnout for a televised 12.30 kick off before Xmas and 3 more points against another team of spoilers

How much were tickets today? Seemed a lot of empty seats. Early kick offs don’t help atmospheres but today was the most quiet of the season bar the shouting at the ref and their acting players.
ticket £53 , fuel £30 , food & drink £15 , parking £6, programme £3 , to watch a bunch of jokers like Wolves , needless to say i gave today a swerve.

Agree totally , but if the tickets were reduced to £30-40 maybe more would have turned up , its difficult for many with families to justify the current prices at this time of year , the reduction in price wouldnt upset season card holders at an average of £600 for 19 games that's only around £30 a game , the occasional reduction in ticket price isnt going to bankrupt the club.
We need to attract more of the casual / last minute supporter who decides in the last few days to attend the game , there's nothing wrong with the size of our fan base , if the prices were right and the ease of buying tickets improved we would easily have 50k bums on seats at every game getting behind the team.

£50-70 for adults, £30 for kids.

Proper ‘heads-gone’ pricing from City, and it’s exactly the same prices for Leeds on Tuesday. Talk about a boardroom that’s utterly out-of-touch with its fanbase…

We have fucking loads though. It wasn’t a good turnout at all today, there were swathes of empty seats in SSL3 and CBL3. It felt as sparsely attended as a Stuart Pearce game when it held 46,000.

Against West Ham it was cold, the music is dull, it’s raining, it’s a midweek night match, it’s an early kickoff, we’ve had 3 games in a week and so on.

When will we stop making excuses and just call a spade a spade? The majority of games our home support is shocking and as others have said it’s not likely to change until local working class supporters can afford tickets.

What’s shit about a Saturday afternoon? Football should be bloody played on a Saturday afternoon. 12:30, 15:00 and 17:30 on a Saturday afternoon are all brilliant kick-off times. Love all thre

You are In the minority with 12.30. The other two are fine as is Sunday at 4.

You should send that to the club.. and that’s just for one person never mind a family
Usually we go as a family brother , son , grandson , and i used to stump up most of the cost because financially i do OK , but its getting beyond a joke , it will cost nearly £300 for all of us to attend one match , ive already gave the club an example by e-mail and the scripted reply was they have some of the best value tickets available for comparable premier league clubs , they basically are not interested .
Our success has come at a cost to our fans , and the club now has an aloofness towards them , its all about the bottom line and no different from most Premier league clubs , its just business.

“Football is the game that we all live for, Saturday’s the day we play the game”! ;)

12:30 is only 150 minutes earlier than a 15:00 kick off.

No time on a Sunday is better than 12:30 on a Saturday. Everyone I know loves the 12:30 games. No kick-off time on a Saturday changes our day out, we all meet at 10:00 on a Saturday no matter what the kick-off time is.

Gutted about that today.

Not necessarily because the atmosphere was shit - 12.30 kicks offs are generally shit for home fans. Away fans tend to make a day out of it, and Wolves fans were really good today.

i was gutted about the attendance. A lot of the abuse we’ve had over the years about attendances has been completely unfounded and overblown.

But it’s almost like a self fulfilling prophecy. Against Palace and again today, the attendance was very patchy. There’s clearly reasons, weather, Covid, kick off time, traffic (which is an absolute fucking nightmare).

Every club has to face these things though, and most of the top clubs haven’t seen the drop off we have.

It’s actually pretty fucking sad that the club don’t seem to be doing anything to improve the situation, and if anything are actively alienating fans more with the absolute shit show of a ticket office.
