Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa

The rumours are we currently have 38,000 season ticket holders, or thereabouts. Add 3000 away fans and that gives us a crowd of 41,000. Our current capacity is just over 45,000 due to construction works, leaving 4000 matchday goers. Even if all them wanted a season ticket, which they won't, that still leaves us roughly 5000 fans on the season ticket waiting list, give or take.

It's hard to gauge, but will there really be that many current season ticket holders relocating to the new South Stand 3rd tier? I'd say most current season ticket holders are happy where they are, regardless of cost. Block, view, friends, family, fans around them etc.

I currently pay £690 to stand in 111, and I'm happy where I am, regardless of paying more for my seat.

I can see us averaging 53,000 next season, on a 54,000 capacity.

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa

A few people I know in level 2 are pissed off at paying a premium then having to relocate for the 'UEFA family' for European games even though they are in the cup schemes particularly as their seats were not unavailable for Europe a few seasons ago. They were considering moving en masse to the top of the new stand... Until they saw how high and far away from the pitch the cheaper seats will be.

Also just for info when we moved from Maine rd wasn't it said that you got your new ticket in the same location at coms? I'm sure my dad said they basically filled it up from the front. Anyroad he was on the back row of the kippax, which corresponded to row T when we moved.

Can anyone update me on the seats around the perimeter of the pitch?. How are they progressing?. Are they below "pitch level?.
How many will they add to capacity?. and finally will they be in front of all the advertising hordings that are currently round the pitch/.
This last question might seem daft - because -I understand that the "seats" will have to have a view of the pitch and not be obstructed by hordings.
And finally is there any other Stadiums where "pitch seats" are....... currently.?
Thanks.

The concrete "steps" are now in place in the south and east stands...not sure about the north as i cant really see it from my vantage point. The Colin Bell, AFAIK, is being left untouched. We don't gain a huge amount of extra seats from this exercise (circa 2k) but i think the main objective is possibly to overthrow the Emirates stadium as the 2nd biggest in the country.

Somebody has pasted some pitchside sections showing the new seating relaive to the turf height and it doesnt look great TBH...although I cant see them being able to sell a seat where the recipient cant see over the advertisement boards without standing!

Thanks for that Wwywwws........................

Could be a ploy for CL matches, where they have to put a Eufa banner over the first few rows of seats?

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa

I keep hearing that the waiting list will have people on who want to relocate their current ST

Why would it?

The renewal process each year goes

1st Renew your ST
2nd A window for anyone who wants to relocate (who've already renewed as above)
3rd Then any un taken up tickets are offered to people on the waiting list
Is this not the case?

Why would people be paying a £100 deposit for a seat in the new stand when they already have a ST under their supporter number

Those on the waiting list COULD be given the opportunity to buy in the new areas prior to, or at the same time as, renewals. I haven't seen it confirmed either way since this question was raised at the outset.

Could be people who really want to move to cheaper seats and are covering their options.

It's been confirmed many times.
1 Level 2 people with big price increase relocation
2 relocation for everybody else
3 second chance for Level 2 to relocate to seats vacated by other relocations
4 People on waiting list then invited.

Nobody with a s/c is on the waiting list. Its all available on the waiting list FAQs but I havn't got time to search it out again.

Paying £100 as well? I thought seasoncard holders get chance to move anyway - before the waiting list is activated.
