I still have to pinch myself sometimes that this is all actually happening! Before the takeover City were a sleeping giant, now thanks to the owners the potential of the Club has been unleashed. I think once we are hitting 55/60k per game the penny will finally drop with the media and opposition fans that City are actually a very big club and is here to stay.

Well that's it then..................I'm going to make sure I don't go to the Stadium ....ever again. Corners not looking good - Pfffft.

I'm gonna go to the first game and throw my season card down several rows in disgust and protest, just like the guy that did after the Sunderland game before we won the league.

Absolute joke those corners are. Wish Frank was still in charge - even though he couldn't get at his savings, at least we were still technically rich as f*ck and we wouldn't have a stadium with shit corners.

I've been thinking about what might need to be done to create demand for the North Stand expansion: by demand I mean an extra 5,000 or so to commit to a seasoncard, not just say they would like one by joining a list.

If I've understood correctly, it sounds like we've got through the 10,000 or so who were on the seasoncard waiting list as at the end of last season, but a significant proportion of those on the list didn't take up the opportunity. Presumably in some cases it because the £299 seats were no longer available by the time their window opened.

I assume that many of those people who didn't take up the opportunity this summer will still be on the waiting list, unless they've asked for their £100 back?

OK, my question is this: how would existing season ticket holders react if, next time, those who were on the original waiting list got the first chance of the cheapest seats?

I suppose it would be a bit a Building Society offering its cheapest mortgages to new customers rather than existing mortgage holders, but in the wider world of business it is the new customers who normally get the best deals when a company wants to grow its market share.

I imagine this scenario wouldn't go down well with many, but it seem to me that we are facing a bit of a conundrum if we need to guarantee (say) an extra 5000-6000 season ticket holders before we embark on the next phase of expansion.

We added about 6,000 seasoncard holders net of those who gave their tickets up, so that's probably about 7,500 new seasoncard holders.

I think if you pay £100 deposit you should be top of the queue. I think there might well be 3 thousand on the waiting list who didn't buy seasoncards because the cheaper tickets had gone? Total guesswork. Those who have opted to leave their deposit with City must be genuinely still waiting anticipating a ticket so it would be useful if City were to re-number the list.

Given that so many fans relocated this Summer, I reckon pent-up demand from existing seasoncard holders for a move has gone, but if there's a new ticket price hike in other areas when the next expansion phase takes place, then that will create a new wave of fans looking to transfer. As you suggest I think City should give priority this time to those o the waiting list, but I don't think there will be quite as many fan looking to relocate. You wont have the attraction of a new singing section for a start.

I think City would need about 5,000 on the waiting list to build it. That way they'd be confident of filling it. A 61,000 ground creates interest in of itself. It just adds to the occasion, and every season City are at the top helps - a lot!

Think you might find those that wanted to move have already done so leaving most of the new seats available for new customers returning customers

don't forget you will get existing holders in the 2nd tier (242 to 204 and 228 to 231) who will not want to pay 'premium prices' (I'm undecided right now - not that 'her-indoors' knows this) and will want to move elsewhere - so there cannot be a clear run for Waiting Listers when the North Stand is done either

my two lads who are 7 so me in effect haven't got one as i already have two great seats in the east stand level 2(so they alternate games) and i really don't want to move until i'm priced out by corporates, so i'm hoping for the north stand expansion to happen then i will move into the cheap seats, that's the plan anyway
