Been told there is quite a significant issue with regard to power capacity for the site and upgrades required which may impact upon any works to the North Stand. No start date imminent.

I suspect its more the collar site and other plans they are having issues with and that might impact the north stand in the meantime?

Depends what extra capacity was built into the original design for the Commonwealth Games site I guess, and whether that capacity has been used up by subsequent developments. I doubt the original design in the 90's factored in power capacity for the huge investment that has taken place since 2008.

Building a new primary substation won't be a quick process. 2 years?

They should be able to out a couple of big transformers in a brick building in a couple of weeks!

There's plenty of local expertise in electricity abstraction to call upon!

Can we not just buy the Asda and use their fuse box? Wonder if anyone thought of buying it yet, looks in the way to me.....

Yep they run loads of freezers ,fridges and teles 24/7 so deffo enough power for what city need !
