Anyone estimate the different capacities based on a replica of South Stand extension, and Mancityx's 2nd tier expansion? If there were a significant number of extra seats with the one tier, I'd go with that otherwise keep the symmetry.

We added a few hundred seats to Southern ends of WL3 and EL3 when South Stand was done, presumably we'd do the same again, so 6,300 on top of 54,700 if we went for a duplicate of South stand end = 61k. Do a WHU. make more seasoncards available at £300 to £400 and it will be full houses every week in the League at least.

Well, in theory. But the cheaper the STs, the less actually turn up.

If they do make a portion of cheap season tickets, I'll be tempted to get one for me and my son and driven from Harrow, only cost me about £25-£30 in petrol ( there and back)
My colleague at work has an Arsenal season ticket, which costs him £1k! Thank god we haven't gone that way...

I was certainly not saying we have progressed merely that the volume of people who got themselves to Maine Road for exactly the same time seemed to do so without too much trouble.
Times have changed and perhaps we demand a lot more than just to watch the game these days.

Roads were at best double lane but around the ground single lane only and buses were mainly used for anything above walking distance. Surely we still walk from our parking spots today don´t we ?

A lot of people do. I never get able bodied people who just have to park as close as they can to the venue, whether it be those who will keep driving round a supermarket car park to get a close as possible, or even worse to a major event. I parked near the old Jaguar garage at Maine Road and walk a similar distance now and have no problem whatsoever getting home. I do get there is congestion elsewhere, the Mancunian Way might even be open by the time the new season starts.

The Arsenal season tickets include first 7 Cup games....that's about £300 at match-day prices.

That explains in part why Arsenal get good Cup crowds, and we don't. I have heard that West Ham have sold 52,000 season tickets which is amazing. Shows the popularity of football if you price it right....and the huge advantage the London clubs have from their population and wealth base.

Looking forward to seeing the new stadiums next season: Anfield and West Ham. Will give their clubs a boost

Anfield will still be a shit hole for the visiting fans mate.
Disgusting views behind the goal at outrageous prices.
