I sorted tickets for a dad to take his 9 year old daughter to her first game on Sunday who loved it (despite the result). Many thousands more will get the bug if they can get to games.

I've noticed more fans coming to the midweek games from West Yorkshire. I think this partly because some Leeds fans can watch our Champs League games without feeling disloyal because they are not competing with us. Likewise I've noticed a number of Scousers coming to just get an extra game in. Maybe we can do some promotion with the train companies for people living within 50 miles of the Etihad.

I wouldn't bother screening off the top tier for cup games. Empty seats are not an issue for most of us. I am just surprised that a minority of season card holders miss quite a few games and leave their seats empty but everyone's circumstances are different.

However, if the proposal is still being work on, and is eventually delivered, it will look amazing.

Like many on here I sincerely hope the propsal does see the light of day, because if it does, it will take the club and East Manchester to another level. :-)

I think its pretty obvious that most of the elements are in place to move forward when the right partner or partners are in place.

However, the one thing ADUG cannot do is induce a partner to get involved if the proposal isnt the right one.

From Apple, through Disney and Marvel and all manner of other high end tech companies there have been plans for theme parks that havent yet happened or are not planned to happen. Very often those plans have been in places with more tourism 'pull' than East Manchester.

I think that the problem is that there simply are no suitable partners ready to jump into bed for an internationally significant development at this time, especially one with the added 'risk' of happening in East Manchester.

I hope i'm very wrong though.

What I''ve seen shows the whole campus, and not just the collar site.

Whether the above ever see's the light of day is another question, but the vision is clearly there.

I sincerely hope it is delivered, as it will be a real game changer for City, East Manchester, and Manchester.

Just been reading through one of the reports to MCC Executive at yesterdays meeting (copy of link below) and on page 17 of said report one of MCCs Capital Budgets projects states "£403k spend for Etihad Expansion - Public Realm". The Budget spend is for the year 2016/17. JRB, i know your interested in all things to do with MCC Planning etc. Just wondered whether you could extract the information out better of do a little bit of digging around and see what you might find. Certainly sounds promising to do with either the Stadium or Collar Site.

All of that list refers to highway related expenditure so maybe access road improvements or something like that. In any event you don't get much for £403k these days.
 
They're gonna build a huge fuck off glass dome around the area, like in the Simpsons movie, so it never bleeding rains on match day anymore.
