Is this an approval then?
Ahh... those were the days...Central High School for Boys, Mellands playing fields, jumpers for goalposts....When it was built it was Central Grammar School for Boys and when we put jumpers down there was only one flat bit in Sunny Brow Park, I went to Ardwick Tech, no where ot put jumpers down there

Just recommended to approve by the planning officers/s. The Councillors at the next planning and highways meeting will either approve or refuse it. The could also defer a decision. Ask for more information. A site visit. Etc.
TBH, it should sail through, even with the ludicrous amount of objections. Most are solely about self-interest. Possible loss of revenue, etc. As for the all the objections from outside Gtr Manchester, I'm staggered. No doubt some of them are from arena operators in other cities close to Gtr Manchester.
City may not be directly involved with the arena proposal, but they own the land, and are very close to MCC. All parties, including Oak View Group, want the arena built.
Hopefully the arena will be approved, and the construction company can be onsite ASAP.
Looking forward to taking pictures of the construction. Especially from the nearby pedestrian bridge.
