Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Didn’t go today and have to admit, I quite enjoyed not going.

Same here, wasn't feeling well today which contributed, but in prev years would have definitely made the effort. Now with the shite beer options and metallic taste from those god-awful paper cups, plus the dawning realisation that we as fans don't actually matter that much to the Owners any more, means I can see me missing a few more games this season. League and FA Cup schemes already cancelled too.

Aparently the good old Metrolink was back to its shite level of service too before and after the game. Why when I live just 6 miles from the ground does it take 2 hours to get home after the game.....ahhh Metrolink !

How's the beer in Summerbees? Had a couple in EL3 first game of the season and there was a terrible metallic aftertaste. Like you, I normally hang back and enjoy a pint or two then walk down for the Tram, but if the beer is rubbish may need a new routine.
Beer was awful first couple of games. It’s improved but still not great. Summerbees is still pretty busy but you don’t have to wait too long

You can see unless we're playing a top draw side that Level 2 'semi' posh seats from the directors box to the SS are the sparse areas, there's never been an understanding of pricing from the top brass.

It must be particularly annoying for those who have been eased out of that area.

We are too sensitive over "empty seats' due to the constant idiotic 'banter'. We had well the highest attendance yesterday. Villa had more empty seats and it was a local derby.
Villa (like us, bar a very small amount, away fans perhaps for us) was a sell out, I don't get this obsession with looking for a seat that doesn't have a back side in it.

Especially when around 300,000 people are Covid isolating at the moment.

I got a ticket for the final home game last season but couldn’t attend because of Covid.

One factor is that we have an ageing fan base, due to those years when we were shit and attracted few young fans.

As you get older, the chances are you feel frailer and more vulnerable. But you are also less and less inclined to put up with hassle of any kind. Going to City seems to me to increasingly involve dealing with new and irritating forms of hassle. It's a disincentive when you feel the club wants you to jump through hoops for the honour of entering the ground.

The armchair gets more and more competitive as an alternative option.

I am still nostalgic for the days when you just turned up, paid and went in. If you took a flask and butties no one gave a damn. OK, those days are gone for good, but I miss that laid-back experience.

Beer Carts were serving at half-time at the back of SSL1, which took people away from the bar areas.

i don’t really agree with that. When tickets are cheaper there’s loads of younger fans and groups of young lads that go. It’s Prem games that’s are too expensive
