Are they expanding the stadium yet?
Do we never turn that big telly off in City Square? I'm surprised we've not been fined for it yet. There is a live web cam showing the indoor arena development. It's on the co-op live web site

Manchester City have begun building the world’s first football stadium inside the metaverse with the help of virtual reality experts at Sony.
Using image analysis and skeletal-tracking technologies created by Hawk-Eye, a subsidiary of the tech and entertainment giant, the club’s stadium will become the central hub of City in a virtual reality world.
Club officials working on the project envisage a time when City can fill a virtual Eithad Stadium several times over, allowing supporters who may never go to Manchester to watch live games from the comfort of their own homes anywhere in the world.

I believe this sort of strategy is the reason why the really big business giants are now getting into PL football. The future will involve huge digital pay-per-view events for the real team which will generate staggering revenues. There are also potentially huge revenues to come in the same way from the e-sports version of Manchester City. The current broadcasting revenues are a tiny fraction of what will come. This is the real reason for the bitter battle between UEFA and the biggest clubs.Imagine virtual season tickets and I've got a Venezuelan, an Australian and an Indian watching the match from my seat... Mind bending. If you could convert 10% of the 40M Facebook followers into £50 season "ticket holders". Fuck Sky and watch an ocean of piss start boiling

No but see the Metaverse thread. Chances are, with the Etihad being reproduced virtually, the plans for expansion are shelved I reckon. Are they expanding the stadium yet?
They’d better make actually going to the match free if this starts happening!Imagine virtual season tickets and I've got a Venezuelan, an Australian and an Indian watching the match from my seat...
