There's still some talk around City about the North Stand extension. Games like tonight are arguably why it hasn't gone ahead sooner.

Every one of the Premier league grounds with a capacity of over 50k only ever sell out if the tourists go. Its a sign of how popular the Premier league is. In the 20 years prior to the formation of the Premier league no team had an average crowd of over 50k. We certainly didn't.

City would have been hard pressed to given the post-Hillsborough attendance limits!

But then again the capacity was rarely tested. On the run-in to 1967-68 League title City had a crowd of 32,999 against Sheffield Wednesday. There were three matches after that one.

I'd have thought that two years of Covid had more of an effect rather than the fact that we're playing Brighton on Tuesday. It most definitely is going ahead though.

If they increase the corporate and premium seats can they not put more reasonably priced seats in any extension of the North stand. Whenever there's a cup game with cheap seats I always bring non regular going fans. Loads of people do and they usually sell out quickly. Especially at the weekend. Price it correctly and we always fill the ground.

Is that the cheapest?? Unreal that if so. Thats a lot of money for many people at this time. Surely someone at the club must realise thats too high.

New Sports Bar, level 2 in the East Stand, which means moving people out of seats which were allocated when they moved into the Etihad 20 years ago. Its not the first time this has happened. Level 2 down both sides of the pitch will now be Corporate for the 2022-23 season. No thought for the fans once again, we knew this was coming but still a shock, season ticket holder for 48 years, so what ?, it certainly tests your loyalty.

Heading for a sell out against Watford. Still quite a few blocks highlighted on the stadium planner, but they all contain 1-10 seats. Those few remaining seats will sell out over the coming days.

Had a walk to look at the arena tonight and it’s really starting to take shape. Can see how huge it’s going to be and really visualize it now.
