On a serious note. Unless OVG and CFG get Joe Mercer Way either resurfaced or reprinted in the coming weeks in time for the Coop Live Arena opening, it’s not going to get resurfaced or repainted until the North stand is completed, and as part of the North stand redevelopment.

Joe Mercer way will be resurfaced along with the pedestrian routes around the North stand redevelopment. Probably bog standard tarmac? I can’t see the club resurfacing around the rest of the stadium. It would cost a fortune. Hopefully Joe Mercer Way won’t be painted again. It was a bad idea.

I don't there is much if any tarmac at the Etihad. I think most of the surface is asphalt or concrete. I am not sure that the problem lies with it being 'poorly laid'?What about poorly laid and uneven tarmac in such a large area where pools of water eventually gather after the work has been done and signed off?

Unless the paved areas are laid to falls, puddles are inevitable. Even if the area was perfectly flat, this would still arise. Remember that the Etihad is built over a disused coal mine. It should be no surprise to find some minor subsidence here and there. It would be more of a shock if there was no depressions.
It remains a design fault and not a construction fault.
