Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Does anyone know why we (or any stadium I can think of) hasn’t gone for the magnetised automatic pint dispensing system that Spurs have? Seems a no brainer - better atmosphere, quicker service, more revenue. 5 seconds per pint is crazy.

Also, saw a video recently that said Spurs are making 3 million profit per home game. Obviously that’s off the back of higher prices which I hope we avoid, but that’s massive.

Those dead trees in large wooden planters in the middle of the road need getting rid of or replacing.

They're not dead, they're just resting.

Its percentage based so unless they change how they sell away tickets adding more corporate wont change the amount of tickets available to those in the 'cheap' seats.
‘Hospitality’ are allocated 15% of tickets. For Leeds they were over subscribed and had to do a ballot

Stupid thing is that a few years back that system was actually advertised on our concourse screens - I think it would really speed stuff up - instead we go for the 20th century half pre-filled pint option instead

We had Bottoms Up in the South Stand where the pints were automatically poured if that's what you are referring to? Still got the magnets on the fridge for some reason. Only lasted a season though. According to the video on my phone it was 15/16 season.

Trust me, they are dieing or are dead. The odd few leaves that are still coming out doesn’t mean those withered, dieing, and dead trees are in good health or are alive.

It amazes me how much money is still swimming around. Just look at the big fight at Wembley on Saturday, the price of the tickets and the number attending. I am not a boxing fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I wouldn’t be investing in stadium expansion right now, it is likely that attendance will go down for all clubs over the next few years due to the cost of living crisis.

ASM Global, the operator of the 27-year-old city-centre venue, is pushing ahead with redevelopment plans in response to the creation of a rival £300m arena in Eastlands.

When both indoor arenas are redeveloped and built, Manchester will have the 2 biggest capacity indoor arenas in Europe.

The £50m project will “dramatically enhance” the venue and boost its capacity from 21,000 to 24,000, ensuring it remains the largest arena in the city.
