They could build a row of terraces houses next to the stadium and you wouldn’t be able to see it from ground level.

Ultimately the venue will enhance the area and won’t take away from the stadium, especially when the North Stand is built.

With the arena and North Stand both completed we’ll see the regeneration of the land at that end which truth be told looks incredibly tatty at the moment.

I'm not sure about that. Honest, the arena is taller than a row of terraced houses. ;-) So is it's depth.

It does. Once the Covid testing centre is gone, if it ever goes, and the old gas holder is demolished, which is happening, we might see some long-term proposals for the back car parks? Unfortunately I can see the car parks staying to service the match day and Coop Live Arena traffic. That will clear the current car park on the Collar Site and allow any proposal, if there is one, to begin?

Posted to death over the years, but it still gives a good indication of how any large proposal across the full length of the Collar Site would impact on the Etihad Stadium visually.

Would be good if anyone with decent photoshop skills could change the proposed building shown on the Coop Live Arena site to the Coop Live Arena building.

Don’t forget, the entire bottom tier of the 54k stadium is below ground level. All you see above ground level is about a 30k stadium.

The arena could match the Etihad as an exterior ground-level-view building. And will be much more modern and better to look at.

Its a square box, without doubt the interior looks top quality but the exterior for me is poor and dull.

For an "iconic" venue the arena looks ordinary in the extreme.
