@jrb thanks for taking these picturesThe distance between the soil testing rig at entrance Z1and entrance A2 was 87 metres.
The distance between the back of the North stand and the soil testing rig to the right of City Square, anti-clockwise was 35 metres.
Yes (apparently) to the external cladding although no one is saying in what form. The NS roof will obviously be replaced but there's no news on E or W roofs yet.
We've had a full roof since we moved in by the way, was it still an athletics stadium the last time you were there? :)

Looks to me like all those rags & dippers were right, The owners have got bored with running little old city, they are now drilling for oil in East Manchester & when they find it they will close us down & build a oil refinery?Digging holes everywhere explains why they didn't bother sorting out any of those areas around City Square / JMW in the last year.
Regardless of any stadium expansions, I wish they would sort out the failed blue lights on the top of the stadium. There should be a huge revamp with bright blue LED lights running around the entire roof of the stadium so it can be seen from miles away.
Anyone who moans that it doesn't look as good as any stadium in the world has no heart. Beautiful.
