Electric buses would cost peanuts to run to and from Piccadilly train station and/or Piccadilly Gardens.
They would also stop endless black cabs from causing traffic congestion, pollution, etc on Ashton New Road before and after the match. (f*cking black cabs pulling up, leaving their engines running, doing u-turns, cutting each other up in a desperate rush to get as many fares as they can)
There's absolutely no reason why City can't team up with MCC, TFGM, and an electric bus manufacturer/company to buy a fleet of electric buses that can be used on a matchday, subsidized by a minimum £1 fare each way, and advertising on the buses.
