That must have been a huge earner for quite a few involved with the contract. There isn't 5 Mills worth now never mind 20 years ago.City souvenir shop cost 5 million to build nearly 20 years ago.
Remember it being mentioned moving up towards the bridge at the junction of ANR and ATW where that temporary building was. Easy parking on the non match dayI think they were meant to be moving the Store when they planned to do the North Stand. Think it was being moved to the side directly opposite where the arena is going.
The old shop sold a lot more souvenirs and nick nacks that were affordable for parents to buy their children. They are only interested in selling football clothing and trainers costing the earth. Buying a souvenir before a match for your children isn't possible nowLightyears away from the club shop at Maine Road that cost about £5 to build.View attachment 20686

What sort of souvenirs or nick nacks did they sell that they don’t sell now. There’s lots of other stuff granted, but they still sell all the sort of stuff they used to as well. The old shop sold a lot more souvenirs and nick nacks that were affordable for parents to buy their children. And there was a lot less tat on sale in the old club shop to buy. The club store is all geared up for tourists to come out of the store looking like Tony (club shop) Pulis. The old shop sold a lot more souvenirs and nick nacks that were affordable for parents to buy their children. I wonder who owns that space on the Ashton New Rd next to the Training Ground (the old bank) ? Could imagine putting a shop there, or even in the West Stand of the Academy Stadium.Remember it being mentioned moving up towards the bridge at the junction of ANR and ATW where that temporary building was. My lasting memory of that store will be one year going to it the day one of our later Umbro kits was released and being told they wouldn't be getting any until the following week and advising me to try Alexandra Sports!!!! Wasn't the manager Stan Gibson's daughter??Lightyears away from the club shop at Maine Road that cost about £5 to build.View attachment 20686

Did you get a butty out of it?
Pete The Badge has had most of it anywayWhat sort of souvenirs or nick nacks did they sell that they don’t sell now. There’s lots of other stuff granted, but they still sell all the sort of stuff they used to as well.
Unfortunately you are incorrectThat old sick Eagle was the Civic Eagle of the City of Manchester the rags could not use it
Only part incorrect, Rags had to receive permission to use it I think City have used before, But is still the Civic Eagle of The City of ManchesterUnfortunately you are incorrect
A vulture would be more appropriate for the Rags.Only part incorrect, Rags had to receive permission to use it I think City have used before, But is still the Civic Eagle of The City of Manchester
