First few series of Shameless were filmed in West Gorton on the Wenlock Way estate. That's all gone now too!

Not particularly interesting to anyone I suppose, but my Dad used to work at the DHSS in the late sixties at the bottom end of Grey Mare Lane. I used to get the Maynes from Manchester Road Primary and walk from the top end of GML after school to play table tennis there with him :) Not sure I would be letting my 9 nine year old walk alone there now.

Sorry, as you were. Just reminded me of that. Back to the development discussion.

New Woman HQ at the Etihad Campus on Ashton New Road, is the old HSBC bank building that is getting done up and extension added with future plans for extensions as well

The black metal railings on the steps/seating over looking the canal have been installed.

As others have stated, still plenty of work left to do before the arena opens.

That scoreboard damaged me!! Everyweek as a young kid I would get excited to see did it work again yet, it never did and here's me now in my 30th year as an electrician, I could have got a proper job if it wasn't for that fuckin scoreboard!!!
