While agreeing that the present Picc gardens are an eyesore the sunken garden you've pictured became infested with alcoholic tramps and junkies which was one of the factors behind redesigning it.

instead of spending 50,000 a year on a dedicated team to keep the gardens clean and clear of piss cans, they decided to spend 10 million over 10 years for a soulless shitty minimalistic moonscape complete with the 2001-space odyssey concrete wall, that will most probably need another few mill on it by the middle of this decade.
would have been cheaper to buy houses for all the tramps!

Trust me, it's rubbish.
Maybe it's just the shit sport that's being played there but there's no atmosphere and you can never get a very good view of the game.

i love our stadium.

i didnt think i would when we left maine road, but around 2007 it started to feel like home.
