Eto'o thinking of Premier League move

Eto'o on the other hand relies on his pace and he will lose it very very soon.

Show me the proof of this happening - he's fit as a fiddle, only just turned 30, and is as fast as he was 5 years ago. He left behind his injury problems 3-4 years ago and has played 50 games for the past three seasons with no sign of slowing down even with such a schedule. At a club with Dzeko and Balotelli and with Mancini's fondness of rotation he could be rested more and preserve himself even longer if need be.

We'd get at worst, 2 big seasons out of Eto'o, and at best 4 big seasons out of him. If he does lose his pace, it won't be happening overnight as he is still sharp as a knife and his movement is first class. For someone bigging up Serie A, you're quick to dismiss the prospect of the best striker in that league coming to us.

For the record, I'd only sign him if Tevez was deadset on going and I feel Inter would offer cash along with Eto'o if a swap deal was lined up due to the age factor, but I believe we'd get as much mileage out of Eto'o as we're destined to with Carlos - 2 or 3 seasons, possibly more if Eto'o holds up longer as there are signs of him doing.

Agree, Agree, Agree. Yep, if Inter doesnt get Sanchez its said is when they will make their move for Tevez, then will probably offer Et'to as part of the swap (if he wants to go).

How daring would it be to say that currently, Eto'o is in better physical shape than any of our strikers. Yeah, it's true. Good goal too the one above.

I don't even like the lad or want him here, but what I do know is that if he came, and stayed fit, we would see immediate results. I don't know how you can argue against that.

Samuel Eto'o continues to create and score goals out of nothing in a way that no other player can. Not to mention, his finishing is clinical. Perhaps near Messi level. But I'd have to see the numbers on that :D

Great player, honestly wouldn't say no. Perhaps there's some risk. But you don't get anywhere if you keep your tail in between your legs.

He's a physical freak which again is why I would disregard his age. He's like one of those Kenyan marathon runners who keep winning and winning no matter how old they get and looks fitter than a lot of 25 year old strikers, including Torres, to me. I fail to see any evidence that he's gonna slow down any time soon.

For Inter last season, 53 apps, 37 goals and 15 assists. Who cares if his swan song is with us? If he gives us those kind of stats for 3 years I'll carry him on my back to wherever he wants to go next.

Come on, how can you say no to that!?

Has been ;)

Oh, and someone said earlier that Eto'o relies on pace. Fallacy. However, he does have it. We don't and could use some. What he relies on is his clinical finishing first and foremost. Even when his head is down, or back to goal, he knows where the goal is. He isn't the typical English player that you put him in front of goal and he just slams it home hoping for the best. He places his shots.

We could use some pace.

Eto'o, once again, I wouldn't say no to. Do I have a strong desire to bring him here? Not really. But he is currently better than that poison Tevez.

Oh, and Eto'o would link up well with Balotelli. Fact. He's done it.

I was talking to an Seria A blogger, that is also hearing some noise about Tevez for Et'to.

I know that doesnt make it true. Still its gonna be a wait and see kinda deal.
