I predict a break up of the UK. New Scottish referendum within a year and a united Ireland vote. London would also get out if it could but fortunately for the rest of England it can't. It's going to be just England and Wales.

I was also going to predict Cameron going but he beat me to it.

Corbyn also hasn't come out of this well. He seemed half hearted in his support of remain and he failed to persuade many working class Labour voters to vote remain. He should also resign but I suspect he won't.

More than £120bn has been wiped off the FTSE 100 at the start of trading.

Ouch.

Just regained 200 points but will obviously be unstable for a time.

Short term market volatility was anticipated by both sides. Most of us voted for what we believed best in the long run, even if that means some scary stuff in the next few weeks or months.

There's NOTHING positive about this morning, Big. You've relentlessly and tireless campaigned on here on the wrong ticket and as a result of many of you and the Brexit camp selling this completely unrealistic fantasy vision, the lunatics have overrun the asylum. This is a very very black day in our great country's history. In the coming weeks and months, only then will people start to realise the enormity of this most monumental of all fuck ups. The break up of the UK is now pretty much assured. it's a total catastrophe.
It was envisaged that there would be some market volatility for a short while. Don't get taken in by the shock talks today. Most will be from the bitter taste left in the losers mouths.

You've just seen democracy in action, and should be proud of the fact that our great country is able to operate in this way.

Well someone is bullish this morning.

Yes we will still trade with Europe. That's a given.

However to do so, just like Norway etc, we will have to accept concessions.
Canada doesn't seem to have any issues trading with the EU.

For me cutting loose the jocks who for years have been given a disproportionate amount of power and influence, by successive Labour governments, would be a massive massive bonus.

In all seriousness, he is a responsible man in a very important job, what do you expect him to say. He has a duty to fulfil, he's hardly likely to come out to the press sobbing and wittering "what have you done, we're all doomed"

Why where these sensible men in important jobs not sensible before the vote?

Had they been it might have been a different outcome and the doom and gloom form these sensible menare responsible for the blips this morning its that simple and now they have to about turn 180 and put the flames out.

Everyone just voted to "take back control from unelected politicians" only to get an unelected PM in October.
The PM is always the leader of the party in control. The voters put the Tories in power knowing how the Tories elect their leaders.
