Think Boris just made himself our next PM.
Depends how effective he is in leading the Out campaign and the result ( obviously).
Was really the only decision he could make, otherwise he would have been seen as a bottler.
He will make a lot of friends with the anti EU Tory MPs.
Has given himself a great chance of being the next PM.
Cometh the hour cometh the Man?
Bad news for Jeffrey.

Out for me, like some one else said, if we weren't already in it up to our eyeballs, would you choose to join this sinking ship.

Boris once again making it all about Boris.

He'll get four pages in the *** tomorrow demanding plebs vote his way with lots of casual racist comments and jingoism to get white van men across the country puffing their chests out in pride. I can hear land of hope and glory playing whilst reading it.

Of course it's all about him but one thing he said made complete sense. The attempt to impose financial and political union has clearly been an utter failure. Dave's tinkering at the margins with his pathetic attempts to convince people he's reforming the EU and keeping us outside but his concessions are about as worthwhile as Chamberlain's Munich agreement. Even many of tne countries fully inside the EU don't like it.

Boris made the point that the concept of European countries working together is not a bad one in itself at all but badly needs a rethink and to go back to basics.

Are you in or out?

Just seen rag cafe's referendum poll on this and its almost a mirror opposite of ours - 68% to remain 32% to leave - can any political scientists on here interpret what this means in terms of the respective demographics of both sets of supporters ;-)

I was an enthutiastic supporter of the Commin Market. But I don't want to be a member of the EU. And I don't see the point of supposedly being a member but not really being a member. Let's get out and agree with them the few bits we do want.

Think I agree - just seen boris on news at ten. Have to say he is a charismatic man. Churchillian.

This is one of the most jingoistic, right wing football forums you will find outside Southern Europe. Dozens of posters have left or don't come near the cellar because of the casual prejudice that is prevelant here. I am amazed in is higher than about 25% based on the comments made

Absolute nonsense - there is only me and Urmston who are openly right wing. Read the mobility and the Nhs thread. 99 percent left wing.

I bet several people who would describe themselves as left wing have clicked the 'Out' button up there.

They probably have many voters from down south which I think will be more for remaining in. Plus we all know of their worldwide and European fan base, again something which will be reflected in their voting profile. Is an interesting thought though.

Did you notice it went up after a request by Paz just after Ric set ours up. I wonder if Paz posts on here or is just a lurker.
It's interesting to note that they've only had 70 posters vote in that time. Whatever could be the reason for that? ;0)

There are posters admittedly occasional who make you look like Bernie sanders . At least you are out the closet though
