he's talking refugee's not Migrants. the article even says the refugees cant legally look for work for 414 days after arrival so are being supported 100% with food and shelter for over a year which is quite a major cost, its the same in most countries I think.

I really wish the press would sort out there terminology. Immigrants, Illegal immigrants and Refugee's are all entirley separate issues and lumping them together helps no one.
Where do economic migrants fit in.....?

Just pulling your leg. Seriously, does it really matter what label we give them. The bottom line is we have finite resources and cannot support these additional numbers. To prevent these "immigrants" and "refugees" coming here alongside giving the European the same status is where we need to go. We can then divert money to helping them in their own country.

Haha

For all you inners there is one solid reason for voting out.

The SNP leader has just stated in Parliament that the Scots would demand an independence referendum if we voted to leave.

Vote out now

They don't really want to leave otherwise they would have let all of the UK vote.

Anyway it seem to me if you want accountability towards the people who impact your lives then you vote out. If you vote in expect more integration.

Merkel must have promised they can have the oil as long as its only $30 a barrel lol.

Cameron is good. whether you fundamentally disagree with him or not on issues. Hes such a skilled politician.

He's a good salesman, on the face of it his "deal" looks good.

But it's not a legal requirement for the EU to deliver on this deal and I don't think they will. We will just rack up another list of annoyances over the next 20 years which this "deal" won't protect us against.

Quite surprised the Out is winning on here.

Great article in The Mail by Dominic Lawson. He makes the point that we've been lied to by our politicians over Europe for years.

He quotes Michael Gove, who exposes the lie that we have control over our own affairs and the EU plays little practical part in that.
Yeah I read that and thought the same and it's the crux of the matter for me. You'll get the inners ignoring it and saying it's not important whilst scaremongering though. The only thing they have is "what if..." In an attempt to scare people off the unknown.

from my perspective if someone comes here and is putting money into the economy by working, paying taxes etc etc then im good with that, yeah the government need to put a lot more cash into infrastructure to handle more people and I believe its actually Tory policy to not do that.

Refugees are a tricky one, we and the Americans caused the problems that are forcing the Syrians to flee so we should be doing far more than we are to help them. that should probably be by funding far better refugee camps and the like in countries closer to Syria though.

To put it costs into prospective, Based on Syria alone, it costs us about £1m for every bomb we drop. and we will be adding very little to that battle. that money would be far better spent on helping the Refugees around the aread, and hiring doctors/teachers here in the UK.

I am astonished that some cannot see what is happening and what is coming. When we joined the EEC it was in my opinion a good move, a pooling of resources involving several largely similar countries in terms of general attitude belief and similar ethics. As seems to be the norm greed and political influence has taken over and blanked out some harsh realities. This is why countries who have a very different outlook different pace of life different morals were admitted. This organisation has also allowed countless millions of people from even less compatible societies to take up residence which now as on numerous instances in history causes problems. These problems will be a large part of the collapse of the EU which is not too far away. When it does go up in flames it is not going to be pretty, we will be effected regardless as to whether we vote in or out. It would certainly be wise to get out, secure our borders and try to do more business with non EU nations to minimalise what effect it has on us when it all goes tits up.

It is very very simple what the EU has become has been tried numerous times in history and has failed every single time. More often than not when these things have failed it has resulted in wars and bloodshed and so it will this time.

Cannot even begin to agree with that.

I'm concluding from watching him, he has successfully negotiated the worst of all worlds.

If he wants in then be in, accept the Euro, accept relinquishing border control and everything else that goes with it.

Does anyone really believe we are going to have major change and have greater power than we do today. Will the single market listen to us anymore or less than they do today.

This is typical 2016 Government, all style, no substance, fur coat no knickers, call it what you will it's dreadful politics. Doesn't he see that continually calling us to be a special case or having special status makes us look well stupid? Next we'll be calling him the special one, or maybe the special needs one would be more apt?

Whatever Cameron agreed is not set in stone as it has to be ratified by the European Parliament.

Vote out and we would not be beholding to those self-serving career politicians in Europe who all frankly hate us anyway.
Correct.
Cameron's 'non deal' is an agreement between the Heads of State it does not legally bind the European Council, Parliament or future Heads of State who could modify or even overturn it when the time comes to enshrine it in treaty.
Details,dear boy, details.
