People in the comments section of this article are saying their posts commenting that this won't happen have been deleted or not published! It's like the censorship of media that will grow if we leave the EU has already started!

? Not sure about that the Indy is probably more pro EU than most

A curious one, obviously Murdoch had campaigned for many years for smaller governments where he can wield his control over the people unfettered, guess he hates being seen to lose even more, or somebody has more power to threaten him afterwards than we thought

One thing is for sure you vote remain you are voting with one Australian, but it isn't Murdoch
Alf Stewart?

None of the conspiracy theorists can exain why the leadership of the TUC are voting Remain. This is the same TUC that has achieved the exemption for the NHS from TTIP.

They would prefer to vote for people whose stated aim is to privatise the NHS lol!

Not the guys in the House of Lords! Nor did we vote for Andrew Lansley's top down NHS restructuring that cost £4billion alone!

There is a far bigger threat closer to home than TTIP. A lot of services would have been privatised by the time you could vote for anybody. A lot of the Tories are on the payroll of Private Health Companies.

At least Dave has limited the pace of privatisation with notable exceptions (Virgin Care). Bojo, Gove and Farage don't need TTIP to privatise the NHS.

You either lack the knowledge or are completely disingenuous to even suggest that the house of lords is in any way close to the unelected bureaucrats in Brussels.

The House of Lords is unelected but has very limited power to change legislation that is passed in the democratically elected UK parliament.

Contrast this with the EU commission that comprises completely unelected bureucrats that create and draft legislation dreamed up in Brussels with no democratic mandate for their proposals from the European people including Britain. Only at this point do MEP's get a chance to discuss and approve the legislation but the UK can and does get out voted. MEP'S are only able to ask the commission to draft new legislation.

There is absolutely no link between the new laws being drafted and the European person voting. I don't recall ever voting on the free movement of people within the EU?

Our democracy isn't perfect but at least we can vote on a govts manifesto and kick them out when they don't do the job we want.

A lot of this stuff is done by smoke and mirrors mate. The Tories don't advertise that they are on the payroll of Private Health Companies and we have to get the Information from the Register of Interests.

I agree with you that Labour have been feeble in recent years!

Again, no. It's the job if the opposition to show this and campaign against it. And if not the opposition because it is "secret" then it's the job of the press to expose it.

Anyway, that wasn't my point. My point was that a letter from a EU Commissioner, not even the EU Commission itself, is not worth the paper it's written on. Smoke and mirrors I suppose.

You believe one thing, I believe another. We will find out eventually.

You might not like the Tories but you're forgetting that more people voted for them based on their election promises. Personally I quite liked the tory libdem coalition but for whatever reason the British electorate punished them at the last election. In case you didnt know your opinion is no more valid than anyone else's and the British people had their voice at the last election and voted Tory. Get over it. The British people will get their chance again in 2015 based on how they live up to those promises - and they never committed to privatising the NHS.

A lot of them are like it though; living abroad for the last 6 years you see many of the expats with a sociopathic hatred of their own country, always putting it down. I've got one friend who told me he's taking out German nationality if we vote to leave.
I love the UK which is why I don't want any stupid decisions screwing up the livelihoods and economy of the U.K. And Europe over what is essentially nothing . I think most expats look back very fondly on home. I will always come home with my kids and visit family and friends and that isn't going to change in or out. Will have a British passport, European or not. The only other overseas people ok here I haven't seen say anything bad about the UK either

Haha! Lack of knowledge on this subject matter.

Have you ever heard of MEPs or the Council of Ministers who have to approve legislation?

Haha. You got blitzed on every other issue by those wishing to leave the EU, so now you make a last ditch plea from a footballing angle. Your desperation knows no bounds.
I replied to. A city related post . Don't see an issue , it is yet another real example of the problems of leaving. As for desperation I probably have less reason to be desperate than anyone else on this tread as any impact will effect me less - other than sympathy from afar.

As for blitz 7% swing on this site towards remain I would hate to see what remain making a comeback would be like

It's a shithole, but it's my shithole.

It's better to have the letter from the Commisioner than a Commission official. It's line the difference between writng to out Government and getting a Ministerial reply or some standard lines from a civil servant!

My Grandmother lost all three brothers at the Somme. I am going out to vote with a patriotic duty to ensure that we don'tget nationalist cretins like Farage exploiting hatred between neighbours again.
Im voting Remain.

Yes can,t disagree, the underfunding in our NHS is nothing short of criminal.
We,re told repeatedly by the outers, that we are the 5th richest nation.
What then does it say,for the fifth richest nation, that we have over 1 million using foodbanks.
We can,t look after the sick and disabled.
Centuries ago we had a window tax, people laugh, now a bedroom tax, another form of poll tax.
Vote for leave! Eton boys will love you!,you will confirm what they think.
The NHS isn't even remotely underfunded.

The bedroom tax isn't a tax. It's some benefits being withheld and it can't be a poll tax as the vast majority don't receive those housing hand outs for a start.

Which Eton boys do you mean. Boris or Dave?
