So hard to predict. I'm not sure there's a standout side. It will come down to the team that has the best shape and discipline and either defends robustly or takes its chances. Failing that, one that can win a shootout. There are always a few surprises in the Euro's. Denmark and Greece winning it. Turkey, Czech Republic, Wales making latter stages.

France don't look quite as good. Spain will lose on pens in a game they have 90% possession and 0 shots on target in. Italy will defend their way deep. The Dutch have a lot of talent, but won't use it under Koeman. The Portuguese squad looks excellent but can Martinez avoid fucking it up? Germany were shite but two big wins in the friendlies and home soil gives them a shout.

I'm going for a team that has never won the Euro's and has lacked the ability to scrape over the line in major tournaments...Engl....Croatia.

Portugal has to win it surely?

France not as good as they used to be.

England, no comment needed.

Looks like UEFA transport planners have fucked up again...
Jonathan Liew really is a bit of a tit, as are those caught with him.
He mentions kick-off was just over an hour away so why the hell was he waiting for a tram so late in the day?
He, and presumably those also caught up, don't know the area, so they should have been heading to the stadium an hour earlier. It's basic common sense when visiting a new ground in a foreign country. - Apologies if any of those were stuck for more than two hours.
UEFA's incompetence is well known, and fan zones are often set up for fans wanting to watch the game on big screens rather than actually go to the game. - They are also set up where the local council wants them, something even UEFA can't be blamed for.

I'm enjoying the tourney, more than I thought I would.

Fox coverage in the past has been unwatchable, but the current Fox coverage is pretty good - with the exception of Warren Barton who needs a large cup of shut-the-fuck-up-please-stop-talking.

Transport problems at Gelsenkirchen fans left stranded for hours. My son and his mate grabbed a taxi back to Dusseldorf took them half an hour other fans using public transport got back after four hours.

Not a good advert for the organisers.

I was surprised how comfortably Romania beat Ukraine today, but to be fair I have no idea how good Romania are at the moment, all I know is that they only ever won once before at the Euros, against England

My only gripe is with these so-called pundits droning on and on. About an hour before kick off we have to tolerate Ratboy, Micah, Shearer, Wio etc. Just an endless flow of clichès, platitudes and general hackneyed drivel.

Yes, the mute button is available, but we shouldn't have to use it. Instead of paying for these mentally-stagnant, tedious no-marks to fly first-class to exotic locations, stay at the best hotels, get the best seats in the stadium AND get paid for it, why not dispense with all of them and let the viewers make up their minds? Bloody sight cheaper.

I wonder how everybody is talking about droping Foden when Phil was free to receive a pass all game long but Bellingham and his bootlickers never do. How is that Foden's mistake?

Just been reading the comments section on the BBC website about Foden! Jesus I know the lad didn't have a great game but some of the comments are ridiculous. Jealous fans of other teams slagging him off. It would have helped if the other midfielders passed him the ball occasionally. Mr waistcoat please drop him now and save him from being lambasted when England get knocked out. Save our Phil! CTWD

Piece of piss compared to when it comes back here.
